Wild's Marco Scandella: Left exposed for expansion draft

Scandella (hip) was left unprotected by the Wild ahead of Wednesday's expansion draft, TSN reports.

Scandella is coming off a relatively disappointing season, as he was only able to accumulate 13 points, 50 hits and 85 blocked shots across 71 games for the Wild. He's currently going into the third year of a five-year pact and is scheduled to make $4 million, so it remains to be seen if Vegas will for sure be interested in the 27-year-old defenseman. Despite undergoing offseason arthroscopic surgery on his hip in May, Scandella is fully expected to be at full strength for the 2017-18 campaign.
