Jeffrey was sent back to AHL Springfield on Friday. Jeffrey hasn't seen much action recently, and he'll now return to the AHL to get more playing time. The Coyotes recalled Craig Cunningham to replace him on the roster, but Jeffrey likely remains on the fringe of the two teams should another forward suffer an injury.
Jeffrey picked up a goal and two PIM in Saturday's 4-3 win over the Senators. Jeffrey had a productive game in limited action (9:06 TOI), netting his first goal as a member of the 'Yotes. Having entered the NHL in 2007, he has yet to carve out a stable role in the NHL despite tours with the Penguins, Stars and Coyotes, respectively. However, Jeffrey should be raising eyebrows this campaign based on a plus-4 rating and a pair of points through four contests.
Jeffrey was recalled from AHL Springfield on Tuesday. The 27-year-old Jeffrey played very well with AHL Springfield, tallying 18 points in 16 games with the Falcons. He also tallied one point in one game earlier in the season playing with the Coyotes. He will likely look to find playing time on the Coyotes' fourth line.
Jeffrey was reassigned to AHL Springfield on Wednesday, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports. Jeffrey drew into the lineup Sunday after being recalled earlier in the day, but was scratched Monday with Antoine Vermette returning to action. He will once again go back to AHL Springfield, where he's notched 12 points in 10 games so far this season.
Jeffrey will suit up for his first game of the season Monday against Anaheim. This will be Jeffrey's first game as a Coyote, but has registered 17 goals and 31 points over a 124-game NHL career as a Penguin and Star. Jeffrey will likely end up on the Coyotes' fourth line and won't be expected to provide anything more than energy.
