Miller is expected to receive the start in goal for Monday's game with Anaheim, Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province reports. Head coach Willie Desjardins refused to name a starter for Monday's game, but it appears as though Miller will be his man after being the first goalie off the ice during morning skate. Miller has been a very average goaltender this year, but is coming off two strong performances, allowing two goals in each.
Miller stopped 23 of 25 shots in Friday's shootout loss to the Stars. Not a bad showing from Miller, who saw his two-game winning streak come to an end. The 35-year-old has allowed three of fewer goals in four straight games and is now sporting a .913 save percentage. While he's only got seven wins, Miller has played a league-high 20 games this season and has helped the Canucks get a point in three straight outings. Miller isn't standing on his head, but he's playing well enough to be a valuable fantasy asset, especially to those looking for a goalie who is in the crease often.
Miller is penciled in as the starting goalie for Friday night's road start against the Stars, Dan Murphy of Sportsnet reports. Of course the Canucks will start their top goalie against the current leaders of the Western Conference, but troubling is that Miller's been shaky with a 2.92 GAA and .900 save percentage in nine November appearances. There are 12 games to be played Friday, so those of you participating in daily leagues have the luxory of chosing from a wide pool of goalies if Miller doesn't tickle your fancy.
Miller stopped 31 of 33 Wild shots to grab a win on Wednesday. Miller put in an impressive performance Wednesday, surviving a late onslaught from Minnesota. He's been inconsistent all season, but has been given the lion's share of the work, playing more minutes this season than any other goaltender in the league, which is worth something.
Miller will protect the net Wednesday against the Wild, Dan Murphy of Sportsnet reports. Miller continues to struggle in net, allowing another three goals to the Blackhawks in his last outing to move his season GAA to 2.54 and save percentage to .911. He did receive a win in the game against Chicago, however, and will look to make it two in a row Wednesday against a Wild team averaging exactly three goals per game this season.
