Calvert picked up an assist and went plus-1 in Monday's 5-3 win over the Flyers. It was a solid return to action for Calvert, who missed nine games with an oblique strain. With only 12 points (nine goals, three assists) in 52 games on the season, though, his fantasy impact will be minimal down the stretch.
Calvert (oblique) was activated off injured reserve Monday, and will return to action in Monday's game in Philadelphia. Calvert's 11 goals in 51 games won't turn many heads in fantasy, but a team getting healthy before charging into the playoffs is always a good sign. T.J. Tynan will head to the minors in response to the activation.
Calvert (oblique) was able to skate on his own Friday, The Columbus Dispatch reports. The feisty winger has nine goals this season, but only 11 points to go along with 42 PIM and a minus-3 rating. Calvert has missed four games so far with his oblique injury, but appears to be inching closer to a return.
Calvert (obligue) was added to the injured reserve list Monday. The winger's status had already been deemed week-to-week on Friday, so this move doesn't alter the timeline for his return to the lineup. Expect to hear more from the team within the next week or so in regards to how Calvert is progressing.
Calvert will be sidelined week-to-week due to an oblique strain he sustained during Sunday's loss to the Predators. There had been no indication prior to this press release that Calvert had been dealing with any kind of injury and now he will have to sit for an extended period. With just nine goals and two assists while averaging 13:37 of ice time on the season, Calvert's absence isn't likely to affect most fantasy owners, but it will affect the functioning of Columbus' fourth line. Expect Markus Hannikainen to be the next man up with Calvert on the shelf.
