Lovejoy scored one goal and assisted on a second Wednesday against the Blues. The points were just his fourth and fifth of the season. Lovejoy has enjoyed a strong start as a shutdown pair along with Brian Dumoulin. His value is likely higher to the Penguins than it is to fantasy owners -- though he's finished with 100-plus blocks in each of the last two campaigns.
Lovejoy scored his first goal of the year, chipped in his first assist of the year and went plus-1 with two PIM in Thursday's win over Buffalo. The veteran blueliner hadn't found the scoresheet in his first nine games of the year, but the Pens finally found a formula on offense Thursday, scoring a season-high four times, and Lovejoy was right in the middle of it, earning the game's first star. Don't expect that to happen too often, though -- he plays more of a defensive-minded game.
Ben Lovejoy is expected to see 18-20 minutes on the blue line as part of a bottom pairing entering the 2015-16 season.
Ben Lovejoy assisted on the Penguins' lone goal in Thursday's Game 1 loss to the Rangers.
Ben Lovejoy was traded to the Penguins on Monday in exchange for Simon Despres, Jason Mackey of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
