Duchene scored a pair of power-play goals in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Predators. He hadn't recorded multiple points in a game since another two-goal effort way back on Oct. 29, so this was a refreshing change of pace for Duchene's fans and fantasy owners. We all know what Duchene is capable of when he's at the top of his game, and he's on pace to finish right around 60 points this year after netting 59 last season.
Duchene scored the game-winning goal in overtime against the Blue Jackets on Monday. Duchene missed four games with a concussion, but he proved his health with the game-winner Monday. He's up to seven goals and five assists through 14 games this year and returns to being a must-start player in all seasonal leagues.
Duchene (concussion) will be back in the lineup Monday, Marc Moser of Altitude Sports 950 reports. After missing four straight games, the 25-year-old will be back against Columbus. He was off to a scorching start before the injury, with 11 points in 13 games, including a pair of assists on the power play. As a power play guy who sees 18:19 minutes per game, he's a great option in most leagues.
Duchene (concussion) won't play Saturday against Minnesota. Duchene will miss a fourth consecutive game Saturday, but is travelling and skating with the team, suggesting he may be able to return to the lineup as soon as Monday against Columbus. The Avalanche should provide another update on the Canadian forward's status ahead of that contest.
Duchene (concussion) will not play Thursday night against the Stars, Terry Frei of The Denver Post reports. This will be the third consecutive absence for the alternate captain, but fantasy owners can take solace in the fact that he was even in consideration to play in the upcoming contest. Duchene will be reevaluated ahead of Saturday's road game against the Wild.
