Fraser has been traded to the Blackhawks along with Andrew Ladd and Jay Harrison, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports. As noted by TSN's Darren Dreger, the Jets will receive center Marko Dano, a first-round draft pick in 2016, and a conditional draft pick. This is a very nice deal for the Blackhawks, and the addition of Fraser provides the defending champs with a hard-working depth forward capable of playing on the left or right wing. He's played in 87 NHL games since entering with the Stars in 2011-12, but the Jets didn't use the undrafted Fraser outside of 44 games with minor-league affiliate Manitoba, pitching in five goals and nine assists in 44 games.
Matt Fraser signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Jets on Thursday, Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Matt Fraser wasn't tendered a qualifying offer Monday by the Oilers, meaning he'll become an unrestricted free agent, Jason Gregor of the Edmonton Journal reports.
Matt Fraser scored the game's first goal and added an empty-netter with two seconds remaining Tuesday against Los Angeles. He finished the evening plus-3.
