  • Hamilton has been a healthy scratch for the last three games. Dating back even further, the depth forward has watched 21 of the team's last 26 games from the press box, and only has a single point across the 21 contests he's played in. Needless to say, he is one player to steer clear of for fantasy purposes.

  • Hamilton has played in 18 games this season, scoring a lone goal along the way. The 25-year-old winger was great last year in the AHL, racking up 43 points in 62 games, but that success hasn't at all translated to the NHL level. Hamilton has been with the Flames all year but has only gotten into 18 games, so his development at this point is pretty much in limbo since he's spending most of his time in the press box -- rather than on the ice in Calgary or AHL Stockton.

  • Flames' Freddie Hamilton: Pointless in 14 games
    By RotoWire Staff

Hamilton hasn't recorded a point in 14 games this season. Hamilton is the textbook example of a depth forward that doesn't factor into fantasy leagues, as he's averaged just 9:42 of ice time with a minus-2 rating, four PIM and 14 shots this year. That said, his 23 hits might be of value if he provided coverage across any other categories.

  • Flames' Freddie Hamilton: Suited up Saturday
    By RotoWire Staff

Hamilton dressed for the third time this season in Saturday's 5-0 loss to the Kings. There's not much to report here other than the fact that Hamilton assumed a spot on the Flames' fourth line after sitting out the previous five contests as a healthy scratch. He doesn't have a point and has just two shots on goal, but his nine hits would amount to a useful pace if he were ever to play with any regularity.

  • Hamilton signed a two-year, $1.225 million contract extension with the Flames on Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports, adding that it's a one-way deal. Hamilton, a sizable two-way forward, joined the Flames organization ahead of the 2015-16 season. He dialed in 18 goals to complement 25 assists in 62 games with AHL Stockton on top of grabbing a goal and assist in a four-game stint with the parent club. Hamilton is a depth forward with a chance to secure a more substantial role once he gains more NHL experience.
