Arcobello has cleared waivers, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie. Acrobello became expendable with Tyler Bozak set to make his return from a lower-body injury Friday. He failed to put up any points in seven games before getting placed on waivers Thursday.
The Maple Leafs placed Arcobello on waivers Thursday, David Alter of the National Post reports. With Tyler Bozak (lower body) slated to return to action Friday against the Rangers, the Maple Leafs are no longer in need of Arcobello's services as a depth forward. Arcobello is expected to clear waivers, at which point he will report to AHL Toronto.
Arcobello will skate as the Leafs' fourth-line center on Wednesday, according to the Toronto Star. It's a temporary assignment as Tyler Bozak will be back from injury soon. So far this season, Arcobello has no points and a minus-2 rating in four games.
Mark Arcobello signed a one-year, $1.1 million contract with the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, The Hockey News reports.
Mark Arcobello, a restricted free agent, wasn't given a qualifying offer by the Coyotes and will enter free agency, the Arizona Republic's Sarah McLellan reports.
