  • Hayes posted an assist with a plus-1 rating, a blocked shot and two hits in Sunday's 2-1 overtime win against the Sharks. The assist was the 100th point of his career. Hayes managed just two goals and an assist over his first 41 games but he has two helpers over the past three outings. His fantasy appeal remains limited to the deepest of formats until he starts to find his way onto the scoresheet with more frequency.

  • Hayes was a healthy scratch Saturday against the Maple Leafs, Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com reports. The initial report was that Ryan Spooner would be scratched, but it ended up being Hayes. Considering that he only has three points in 40 games, perhaps that isn't surprising.

  • Hayes heads into the NHL All-Star break with two goals and three points to go along with a minus-4 rating over the course of 38 games. Hayes has yet to gain much momentum at any point this season and has been made a healthy scratch by the Bruins at times, as a result. At 6-foot-5, 215-pounds, the 27-year-old winger brings good size to the table, but the scoring touch that Hayes displayed earlier in his career has (at least temporarily) dissolved. Perhaps with some bounces in his favor, Hayes could get back on track in the coming weeks/months, but for now he's off the fantasy radar.

  • Bruins' Jimmy Hayes: Scores game-winner versus Kings
    By RotoWire Staff

Hayes scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory over the Kings on Sunday. It was only his second goal and second point of the season, but it was a big one. Tuukka Rask and Peter Budaj stopped every shot in the game except one from Hayes in the first period. Despite the heroics, Hayes isn't fantasy relevant. His two shots Sunday were his first on net since Dec. 8.

  • Bruins' Jimmy Hayes: Returns to lineup Tuesday
    By RotoWire Staff

Hayes logged one hit and a shot on goal in 9:26 worth of ice time in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to Montreal. Hayes, who had been a healthy scratch for the Bruins' two previous games, drew back into the lineup, with fellow forward Noel Acciari dealing with an injury. The big winger, who tallied 13 goals and 29 points in 75 games with the Bruins in 2015-16, has yet to score a point in 11 contests to date, while recording a minus-9 rating in the process.
