Fisher scored 11:12 into the third overtime, sending the Predators to a 4-3 victory Thursday and tying the series, 2-2. Fisher also extended his points streak to four games, and after a relatively quiet series against Anaheim, is stepping up his game in a big way. He finished the night with 37:33 of ice time, second only to James Neal's 38:59.
Fisher scored a goal on four shots but finished with a minus-1 rating in 17:37 of ice time in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Ducks in Game 4 Fisher's goal tied the game 1-1 after the Predators had a surge of opportunities turned aside by Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen. The goal was Fisher's first of the playoffs and as the series returns to Anaheim for Game 5, the Preds are going to need their top players like Fisher to produce so they can get back on track after suffering two losses at home.
Fisher (rest) won't be in the lineup for Saturday's regular-season finale against Dallas. The Predators have opted to give several of their veteran players, including the 35-year-old Fisher, an extra day of rest Saturday ahead of the team's upcoming first-round playoff series. The 1998 second-round pick will slot back into the lineup for the Predators' first postseason contest.
Fisher went pointless for the sixth consecutive game during Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Sharks. With just 22 points in 68 games, Fisher is well on his way to posting the worst full-season offensive output of his career. Perhaps the most galling aspect of his season might be his team-worst minus-15 rating, on a Predators squad that is a collective plus-40. Bottom line, this guy is absolute fantasy poison right now. Steer clear.
Fisher recorded a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 3-2 OT loss to the Flames. His stat line was full, as he also had three shots on goal, two PIM, two hits and a pair of blocked shots. It was ultimately a disappointing night for Fisher, who notched the game-tying goal with just under two minutes remaining, only to see his team fall in the extra frame. Going forward, we still don't see much by way of fantasy value for the Preds' third-line center, as he has just 19 points in 57 games this season.
