Boyes picked up his first goal as a Maple Leaf in Monday's 4-1 win over the Stars. It may have been his first goal, but Boyes is on a three-game, four-point streak and has six points in his last seven games. His game is coming together quietly and he could provide you with some injury relief ... as long as you 're not counting on power-play production.
Boyes has three assists and a minus-4 rating while averaging 14:01 of ice time in seven games this season. The veteran's bounced between second- and third-line ice time so far. He's seeing consistent second-unit power-play time, but still hasn't tallied a point on the man advantage this year. Boyes is on a similar pace, points-wise, to what he did with the Panthers last year (and the year before), but he's yet to pot a goal and has just 11 shots, a decent bit short of his usual pace.
Brad Boyes signed a professional tryout offer with the Maple Leafs on Thursday, Andy Strickland of FOX Sports Midwest reports.
Brad Boyes was placed on buyout waivers Tuesday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports.
Brad Boyes scored the game winning goal in Thursday's 4-2 victory over the Bruins.
