Paquette will be playing on the third forward line for the Lightning alongside Jonathan Marchessault and Erik Condra. Paquette (upper body) may return to the Lightning lineup against Vancouver on Tuesday, Bryan Burns of NHL.com reports. Paquette was described as "probable" by Lightning coach Jon Cooper. It would be the 22-year-old's first start since the middle of November, missing a total of 15 contests. Although not an offensive powerhouse, the center could log a lot of minutes if he's healthy on Tuesday given the rash of injuries in Tampa.
Paquette (upper body) will be a game-time decision for Tuesday's contest against the Canucks, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports. Paquette's injury has held him out of action since mid-November, but the 22-year-old forward indicated Monday that he felt 100 percent healthy. The decision will ultimately be coach Jon Cooper's, but the Lightning could certainly use him given the rash of injuries to the team's forwards. He should receive an update confirming his status one way or another at some point before the opening face-off Tuesday.
Paquette (upper body) is on injured reserve, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Paquette has missed the Lightning's last 11 games, and will miss at least three more with coach Jon Cooper saying he will "definitely not" play on Tampa's road trip. The earliest Paquette can return is when the Lightning return home Dec. 20 to take on Ottawa.
