Paquette signed a two-year contract extension Friday. Lightning general manager Steve Yzerman is a busy man with free agency looming, having signed forwards Paquette and J.T. Brown on Friday, along with depth defenseman Luke Witkowski. While working in the bottom-six group, Paquette registered six goals and five helpers in 56 games last season. The Bolts could look much different if Steve Stamkos ends up walking as an unrestricted free agent, but even if that happens, Paquette is not likely to be inserted on a scoring line, thus limiting his fantasy value.
Paquette (illness) will be a game-time decision for Saturday's matchup with Arizona, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports. Fantasy owners shouldn't need to keep tabs on Paquette's status, as the 22-year-old forward has very little to offer in terms of fantasy value, having tallied just nine points (five goals, four assists) in 45 games this season. The Lightning should provide an update on Paquette's status prior to puck drop Saturday evening.
Paquette (lower body) will rejoin the lineup for Thursday's game against the Stars, Erik Erleendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports. Paquette was considered a game-time call for the contest, but his presence at morning skate certainly suggested he would play. That's indeed the case, and he could slot back in alongside J.T. Brown on the third line. However, just 12:32 of ice time on average and very little offensive production leaves him largely off the fantasy radar.
Paquette (lower body) took part in Thursday's optional morning skate, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports. Per the report, it looks like Paquette could be game-time decision for Thursday's game against the Stars. Paquette, who has nine points and 40 PIM in 44 games to date, last suited up this past Friday against the Flyers.
Paquette (lower body) told reporters he hopes to rejoin the lineup later in the team's road trip, which rules him out for Tuesday's matchup with the Maple Leafs, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports. The Lightning are currently on a four-game road trip with the next opportunity for Paquette to suit up being Thursday against Dallas or Saturday versus Arizona. The 22-year-old has struggled to find the back of the net this season, as he's tallied a paltry five goals. His inability to beat the keeper certainly lowers his fantasy value, as does his limited minutes. The winger is currently averaging only 12 and a half minutes per contest which is on the lower end for productive forwards.
