Player News
  • Lessio (knee) underwent an MRI on Thursday and it's been determined that he will miss 2-to-3 weeks, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. Lessio debuted with the Canadiens on Tuesday, but the 23-year-old forward sustained a knee injury in the contest upon getting hit by Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas. It's unlikely that many eyes were on Lessio in the fantasy realm since the gritty forward is in the developing stages of his NHL career, but this hurts the Habs since the team traded for him in mid-December. By the time he's ready to return, there could be less than a month and a half left on the regular-season schedule.

  • Lessio (knee) won't be in the lineup Wednesday against Buffalo. The winger got dinged up in his Canadiens debut Tuesday, getting clipped by Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas. There isn't any indication as to how long Lessio will be out, but the next time he could return to the lineup would be Saturday against Edmonton. In Lessio's absence, Sven Andrighetto will skate on the Habs' fourth line.

  • Canadiens' Lucas Lessio: Recalled by Canadiens
    By RotoWire Staff

Lessio was recalled by the Canadiens on Sunday, Arpon Basu of LNH.com reports. Traded from the Coyotes to the Canadiens in mid-December, the 23-year-old Lessio could see his first NHL action with his new club after posting nine points (three goals, six assists) over 18 games with the team's AHL St. John's affiliate. The former second-round pick has just 29 total NHL games under his belt to this point in his career, but will look to add more to that total moving forward.
