Bibeau was sent back to the AHL on Monday, James Mirtle of The Globe and Mail reports. Bibeau brief backup stint with Toronto is over now that fellow netminder James Reimer is healthy. Bibeau was recalled by the Maple Leafs on Monday, Dhiren Mahiban of the Canadian Press reports. Bibeau's recall likely indicates that James Reimer (groin) won't be available for Wednesday's game against the Ducks. The Maple Leafs were carrying just 21 on the active roster prior to the recall of he and forward Mark Arcobello, making a corresponding move unnecessary.
Bibeau was reassigned to the Marlies of the AHL on Sunday. Bibeau was an emergency call up to the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, as James Reimer was dealing with some tightness in his groin and the Leafs needed a back up for Jonathan Bernier. Bibeau will move back down to the Marlies on Sunday, where he's 10-4 on the season with a .889 save percentage. If Reimer continues to deal with an injury, Bibeau could again be recalled to the Leafs in the near future.
Bibeau was an emergency recall for the Maple Leafs on Wednesday, Jonas Siegel of TSN Radio 1050 reports. Bibeau was needed after James Reimer experienced tightness following his start Tuesday, possibly related to his groin injury. The 21-year-old is 15-10-6 this season in the AHL with a .913 save percentage. The netminder is in route to Pittsburgh and is expected to arrive in time to back up Jonathan Bernier.
Bibeau was reassigned to the Marlies of the AHL on Saturday. Bibeau has yet to make his NHL debut despite being called up Dec. 19. He's viewed as an insurance policy for the Leafs, who have seen starter James Reimer (groin), and interim backup Garret Sparks (lower body) suffer injuries recently.
