  • Predators' Brad Hunt: Snatched off waiver wire
    By RotoWire Staff

Hunt was claimed off waivers from St. Louis on Tuesday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports. Hunt snagged his lone goal of the season against Nashville earlier in the year, which evidently was a enough for the organization to pick him up. The 28-year-old was averaging a mere 13:36 of ice time per night with the Blues, but will likely slot right into the lineup for the Predators given the number of injuries they have on the blue line.

  • Blues' Brad Hunt: Put on waivers Monday
    By RotoWire Staff

Hunt was placed on waivers by St. Louis on Monday, Bob McKenzie of TSN reports. The blueliner has five points in nine games in the NHL, but he hasn't been playing frequently, so the Blues want to make space. He could end up being claimed by a team in need of defensive depth. If he clears, he'll report to AHL Chicago.

  • Blues' Brad Hunt: Tough night in Thursday's loss
    By RotoWire Staff

Hunt had two shots, a two-minute penalty and finished with a minus-2 rating in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Hurricanes. Hunt filled in for the injured Carl Gunnarsson (lower body), but gives up some size on the blue line. He can get over-powered, as he was Thursday when he was forced to take a slashing penalty to prevent a breakaway. The ensuing Carolina power play produced the game-winning goal. Hunt brings some offense to the position, but there's a reason why the 28-year-old has just 28 games of NHL experience.

  • Blues' Brad Hunt: Expected to play Tuesday
    By RotoWire Staff

Hunt is expected to dress for Tuesday's game in Dallas, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Hunt had started four consecutive games, collecting a point in all of them, before being scratched the previous two games when Carl Gunnarsson returned from a lower-body injury. The Blues are reticent to expose Gunnarsson to a back-to-back set so soon after his return, so Hunt draws back into the lineup.

  • Blues' Brad Hunt: Healthy scratch Saturday
    By RotoWire Staff

Hunt was a healthy scratch for Saturday's game against the Blackhawks. With Carl Gunnarsson (lower body) ready to return, the question facing coach Ken Hitchcock was whether he should remove the more offensively gifted Hunt from the lineup. The coach opted for Gunnarsson's size over Hunt's offense, but Hunt could stick around until Robert Bortuzzo (lower body) is ready to return next month.
