Hudler (illness) returned from a two-game absence and registered an assist in Friday's 2-1 overtime loss against the Coyotes. Hudler has been one of the steadier scorers in Calgary this season, with 14 points in 21 games. He is unlikely to hit 70 points again this season, but 50-60 should certainly be attainable.
Hudler (illness) will be back in the lineup Friday against the Coyotes, the Fan960's Pat Steinberg reports. The Flames will be getting a couple bodies back Friday, as Markus Granlund will also be in action. Hudler should return to Calgary's front line, skating alongside Johnny Gaudreau and Sean Monahan.
Hudler (illness) won't play Tuesday against the Ducks. Hudler returned to practice Monday after missing Friday's game against Chicago, but didn't take part in normal line rushes, indicating he still hasn't fully recovered from the illness. Head coach Bob Hartley told reporters Tuesday that he wants to give Hudler a few more days to recover from the flu. Although Hudler won't suit up for Tuesday's contest, Hartley's statement indicates the 31-year-old winger should be ready to return to action Friday against the Coyotes. Mason Raymond will continue to skate alongside Sean Monahan and Johnny Gaudreau on Calgary's top line in Hudler's absence.
Hudler (illness) took part in practice Monday, but was not part of this normal line rushes, Aaron Vickers of NHL.com reports. Hudler missed Friday's game and has been absent from practice recently because of the illness, but his return Monday certainly bodes well heading into Tuesday's contest. However, the fact that he was held out of line rushes for the most part may signify he isn't 100 percent healthy yet. More on his status for Tuesday should come at some point on gameday, but it appears as though he's close to returning at the very least.
Hudler (illness) did not take the ice for pregame warmups, indicating he will not play Friday against the Blackhawks, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports. The Flames' next game isn't until Tuesday against Anaheim, so the illness will likely only cost Hudler a single game. Michael Frolik will likely replace Hudler on Calgary's top line in Friday's contest, with Mason Raymond slotting into the lineup as a depth forward.
