Bass has been recalled from AHL Milwaukee. Bass is a fringe option for the Predators. He was summoned by the parent club at the beginning of December and ended up appearing in two games. Nashville is not likely to expect too much out of Bass as his ascension to the NHL corresponds to the Predators placing Colin Wilson (lower body) on injured reserve. The native of Owen Sound, Ontario put his toughness on display with the Admirals ahead of the call-up, notching 50 PIM in 21 games.
Bass was sent back down to AHL Milwaukee on Friday, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports. Bass played in just two games for Nashville after being called up at the start of December. During his two outings, the 28-year-old recorded just three shots on goal and averaged only six and a half minutes of ice time.
The Predators have recalled Bass from AHL Milwaukee. Bass was a fourth-round draft selection by Ottawa in 2005. Since then, he's been fishing for a consistent role in the NHL, but has only had nibbles from the Senators, Blue Jackets, and Predators, totaling five points in 49 games between those clubs.
Cody Bass signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Predators on Saturday, Adam Vingan of The Tennessean reports.
Cody Bass was waived by the Blackhawks on Monday, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.
