  • Avalanche's Blake Comeau: Will play Thursday
    By RotoWire Staff

Comeau (undisclosed) is in the lineup for Thursday's tilt against Minnesota. The winger missed Tuesday's game after being "a little banged up," but he made his return only a game later, so it seems like it wasn't too serious. With 19 points in 74 games and an abysmal minus-20 rating, Comeau shouldn't be filtering into many fantasy lineups.

  • Comeau is "a little banged up" and therefore will not play in Tuesday night's home game against the Blackhawks. Comeau has an active six-game point drought going, so he was probably due for a mental break anyway. His next chance to suit up will now be Thursday for a home date with the Wild.

  • Comeau scored his eighth goal of the season and added a helper in Saturday's win over the Sabres. Comeau does play in the top-six, but his 14 points make him hard to trust in anything but the deepest of leagues. The 31-year-old is a decent goal-scorer and racks up strong PIM totals, but he's inconsistent and doesn't see much power-play time. Use him in very deep leagues, but don't expect much given the team's position in the standings.

  • Comeau posted an assist, a plus-1 rating, a blocked shot and two hits in Saturday's loss against the Rangers. Comeau enjoyed a bit of a resurgence last season, reaching his highest point total (36) in four campaigns. He has disappeared this season, however, managing just 11 points with a poor minus-14 rating through 48 outings. The veteran is only worth using in the very deepest of pools at this juncture.

  • Comeau has recorded just three points in the last 21 games. He's also skated to a minus-12 during that time. Comeau's cold streak has essentially spanned the entire season, as the 30-year-old has managed only 10 points in 44 contests. At this point, he's not likely to approach the 12 goals and 36 points he amassed in his debut campaign with the Avalanche in 2015-16, and can safely be avoided in the vast majority of fantasy leagues.
