Blues' Paul Stastny: Two-point showing Wednesday

Stastny registered a power-play goal and a primary assist in Wednesday's 4-3, overtime loss to the Penguins. Stastny was held off the scoresheet Monday against the Sabres, his first game back from a broken right foot injury that kept him out of 16 games. However, he shifted into a much higher gear in this latest contest, firing five shots on net and picking up three hits. Stastny now has seven points in as many games this campaign.

Blues' Paul Stastny: Will return Monday

Stastny (foot) will return to the lineup Monday against the Sabres, Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Stastny has been sidelined since Oct. 17 with the foot issue, but will finally make his return to the ice Monday. The center tallied five points in five games before going down with the injury, and should return to centering the top line alongside Alexander Steen and Vladimir Tarasenko. He'll return to a nice matchup Monday, with Buffalo allowing 2.70 goals per game this season.

Blues' Paul Stastny: Moving closer to return

Stastny (foot) participated in the Thursday morning skate and is moving closer toward rejoining the lineup, Lou Korac of reports. Stastny is trying to work his way back from a broken right foot that has already caused him to miss 14 games this season. According to the report, he has skated the past 5-to-6 days and most recently has been trying to obtain medical clearance for a return to game action. While there isn't a definite timetable for Stastny's return, it seems as though he's making good progress.

Blues' Paul Stastny: Sheds walking boot Friday

Stastny (foot) was spotted at the Blues' practice facility Friday. He has shed his boot and is walking without restrictions, Lou Korac of reports. On Oct. 21, it was announced that Stastny would miss at least five weeks with the injury. He is more than halfway into that return timetable and it appears that he is progressing well, despite the fact that he has yet to return to the ice for practice quite yet.

Blues' Paul Stastny: Broken foot, re-evalution in five weeks

Stastny has a broken right foot and will be re-evaluated in five weeks. Stastny sustained the injury Oct. 16 against Vancouver. It's a tough blow for a Blues team involved in a highly competitive Central Division. As someone who has posted 106 points in the past seasons combined, the team cannot be expected to replace that kind of offensive production outright, but centers like David Backes and Scott Gomez could be depended on more heavily without Stastny.

Blues' Paul Stastny: Will miss time with lower-body injury

Stastny is dealing with a lower-body injury and will miss the final two games of a road trip that ends next Tuesday in Montreal. Stastny reportedly sustained the injury in the second period of Friday's win over Vancouver. The team is expected to shed more light on the situation at the conclusion of the road trip. Hopefully the malady proves to be minor, as Stastny is riding a four-game point streak to complement a plus-4 rating through five games.

Blues' Paul Stastny: Scores goal, adds assist in win over Oilers

Stastny scored a deflection goal on the power play and got a secondary assist in Thursday's win over Edmonton. Stastny got good position in front of Cam Talbot and deflected Alexander Steen's pass for his first goal of the season. He led all Blues forwards in ice time with 20:12 and added three shots. Stastny now has four points in four games and will look to add to that total Friday against Vancouver.

    • Blues' Stastny Gets In On Scoring Action In Game 4

News: Paul Stastny potted one of six Blues goals and had a team-leading four shot attempts in Wednesday's Game 4 win over the Wild.
Analysis: The four shots were more than Paul Stastny's output in the previous three games combined (three), all coming while he saw his lowest total ice time (14:36) of the series. Due to the several star forwards on the Blues' roster, Stastny has taken a backseat offensively this season, as the 46 points he submitted during the regular season represented his lowest total for a non-lockout year since 2008-09. He shouldn't be counted on to provide scoring for the Blues on a consistent basis.
    • Blues Stastny Scores In Win

News: Paul Stastny scored the winning goal, his 16th of the season, Thursday in a 2-1 win over Chicago that helped clinch the Central Division for the Blues. He was plus-1 with three shots in the contest.
Analysis: Paul Stastny's first season with the Blues has been a bit disappointing offensively coming off a 25-goal, 60-point season, but with the depth of the Blues he been asked to play a different role than he was in Colorado. For the three years remaining on his contract, Stastny will be surrounded by high-end talent that should keep him a very useful fantasy asset.
    • Blues' Stastny Snaps Brief Skid

News: Paul Stastny scored a power-play goal and added an empty-net assist Thursday in a win over Calgary.
Analysis: He'd gone three straight without a point and five straight with a negative rating before nabbing the two points and plus-1 rating Thursday. After Paul Stastny went all of March without any multi-point efforts, his fantasy owners have got to be happy to see him start April off right.
