Bruins' Brad Marchand: Nine goals in last nine games

Marchand netted the game-winning goal over the Sabres on Saturday on a penalty shot in overtime. It extends his current goal streak to three games and four goals, and gives him nine goals in his last nine. Marchand got the penalty shot after being grabbed by Rasmus Ristolainen, but it was an odd call -- the winger didn't really seem to have much separation from the big defender. But he made good on the penalty shot with a sweet move to his backhand that let him slip the puck inside the right post. Marchand is so hot he's burning holes in every goalie he faces, but don't get too comfortable with the winger. This is a prime time for you to see if you can truly sell high. This pace is unsustainable and you might score large from a fellow owner who's drooling over the boy in black and gold. It's worth a shot.

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Pots two in losing cause

Marchand scored the Bruins' first two goals in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Leafs. Those tallies -- his 21st and 22nd of the year -- gave Boston leads of 1-0 and 2-1, but the team could cling to neither. Marchand has now scored seven goals in his last seven games; considering this has been a season of streaks for him, fantasy owners would be wise to ride the Nova Scotian winger for the near future.

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Goal in his fourth straight game

Marchand had a goal in his fourth straight game in Boston's 3-2 shootout win over Columbus on Saturday night. He actually has a point in each of his last five games and is plus-5 in that span, too. Marchand is on pace to deliver his first-ever 30-plus goal season and could deliver more than his previous-best 55 points. He's also delivering penalty minutes and shots, so value him accordingly.

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Snaps 11-game goal drought

Marchand snapped an 11-game goal drought with the game-winner against the Leafs on Saturday night. He thought he had the winner earlier, but that goal was called back on a coach's challenge (offside). Marchand has put in 16 goals this season and there's still a chance he could get to 30 if he can up the pace a hair. Marchand's ability to put up shots, points and penalty minutes makes him a valuable fantasy asset in many formats, but he needs to stop with the borderline dirty stuff. He played relatively clean Saturday -- other than getting caught for two high sticks. But Marchand is always on the edge of good and evil, and that can really hurt the Bruins and your squad.

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Returns from suspension

In his return to action from a three-game suspension Saturday, Marchand logged 20:24 worth of ice time in the Bruins' 2-1 overtime loss to the Senators Though Marchand did not score a point in his return to action Saturday, he skated on a trio with Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak, an arrangement that should lead to plenty of opportunities going forward for the feisty left winger, who has notched 15 goals and 11 helpers in 35 games for the B's to date.

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Returns from suspension

Marchand (suspension) is set to return to the Bruins' lineup Saturday night against the Senators. Following a three-game suspension, Marchand, who checks back in to the B's lineup with 15 goals and 26 points in 34 games to date, figures to move right back into his top-six role on center Patrice Bergeron's line. It's an assignment that makes the feisty left winger -- who has also racked up 56 PIM -- a solid lineup option in most fantasy formats.

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Hit with three-game suspension

Marchand has been suspended for three games for clipping Ottawa's Mark Borowiecki in Tuesday's game against the Senators. The suspension doesn't come as a huge surprise, as Marchand has long been known for his borderline dirty play, which has resulted in several suspensions during his seven seasons in the NHL. The 27-year-old winger will now miss the Bruins' next three games, including Boston's matchup with the Habs in the 2016 NHL Winter Classic on Friday. Marchand will be eligible to return to action on Jan. 9 against Ottawa.

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Still on 40-goal pace

Despite going three straight games without a goal, Marchand remains on a 40-goal pace with 15 tallies and nine assists over 30 games this season. Although the goal-scoring explosion we've seen from Marchand this year has been a surprise, it comes with an explanation that offers hope for sustainability -- the 27-year-old has been skating career-high minutes and shooting more than ever. He's averaging well over three shots per game this year, a figure he's never approached in the past, and his 15.3 percent success rate on those shots is well in line with his career norms. Marchand is in excellent position to crack 30 goals and 60 points for the first time in his career; act accordingly in fantasy.

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Nets game winner Saturday

Marchand scored the game-winning goal and fired a game-high five shots on goal Saturday against Vancouver. Marchand has now scored three goals in his last two games, giving him 13 goals on the season -- seventh most in the entire NHL. He was a plus-3 Saturday and now owns a terrific plus-12 rating on the year. Considering he's got 19 points in 23 games and has fired an impressive 73 shots on goal thus far, the 27-year-old is basically a must-start every game.

Bruins' Brad Marchand: Notches two goals Friday

Marchand scored twice in Friday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Flames. Marchand's second goal of the game came on a penalty shot with 1:06 remaining in the contest to give the Bruins a 4-3 lead that they ended up relinquishing with just 1.2 seconds left in regulation time. Friday's pair of tallies ups Marchand total to a team-high 12 goals to along with six assists in 22 games.
