Flyers' Chris Conner: Sent down to AHL Lehigh Valley

Conner was sent back down to AHL Lehigh Valley, Wayne Fish of the Burlington City Times reports. Conner had four goals and eight points for AHL Lehigh Valley in eight games and was called up for the Flyers during a back-to-back. However, he was a healthy scratch for both games. He'll return back to the AHL where he's the team's second-leading scorer. He's replaced by Davis Drewiske on the NHL roster.

Flyers' Chris Conner: Recalled by Flyers

Conner was recalled by the Flyers on Sunday, CSN Philadelphia reports. Conner will give the Flyers some forward depth for the rest of their five-game road trip with Pierre-Edouard Bellemare on injured reserve and Sean Couturier still out with a concussion. The veteran winger has gotten off to a hot start with AHL Lehigh Valley, posting eight points in eight games, but will likely just fill in a role on the fourth line if he draws into the lineup, limiting any fantasy upside.

News: The Capitals announced on Tuesday that they have sent Chris Conner back to AHL Hershey.
Analysis: Chris Conner was recalled on an emergency basis with injuries keeping centers Jay Beagle and Michael Latta out of the lineup, but with the latter nearing a return, Conner will head back to the minors. The 31-year-old had no points in a total of 17:38 of ice time in two games during his stint in D.C., but Hershey will be happy to have him back. Conner has 17 goals and 45 points in 47 games at the AHL level this season.
    • Conner Recalled By Caps

Analysis: Chris Conner, who has recorded 45 points in 47 games with Hershey to date, has yet to appear in an NHL game this season, though the 31-year-old winger does have 178 NHL games under his belt, most recently seeing action with Pittsburgh in 2013-14, recording five points in 19 games in the process.
    • Conner Signs Two-Way Contract With Caps

News: Chris Conner signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Capitals on Tuesday.
Analysis: After nabbing defenseman Matt Niskanen and Brooks Orpik from the Penguins earlier in the day, the addition of Chris Conner is much lower-profile snag from the Capitals' Eastern Conference rivals. The 30-year-old saw career-high 60 games with the Penguins last season due to a number of injuries at forward, but it would be surprising if the Capitals afforded him close to the same amount of playing time. It wouldn't be a surprise if he saw a larger share of his duties during the upcoming season at AHL Hershey.
