Flames' Jonas Hiller: Concedes two goals in relief

Hiller stopped 15 of 17 shots after entering in the second period of Sunday's loss to the Hurricanes. Hiller had started three of the team's previous four contests entering Sunday's tilt and had an opportunity to further his case for more playing time after Karri Ramo allowed three goals in the first 24 minutes of the game. The 33-year-old wasn't great in limited action though, giving up two goals in the final frame in the span of just 32 seconds.

Flames' Jonas Hiller: Starting Tuesday in New Jersey

Hiller will start in goal for the Flames Tuesday against the Devils, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports. This is not to big of a surprise, considering Hiller has stopped 51 of 52 shots in his previous two starts. He'll match up against a Devils team ranked 29th in the NHL in goals per game, so Tuesday could be a good mix of hot hand and weak opposition.

Flames' Jonas Hiller: Outstanding in shootout loss

Hiller stopped 36 of 37 shots in Saturday's shootout loss to the Oilers. It was a sensational showing from Hiller, who was named first star of the game. The Flames couldn't score in the shootout, though, leading to Hiller's first loss in four games. The 33-year-old drops to 5-4-1 on the season with a .882 save percentage, but he pitched a shutout in his previous outing Wednesday and was sensational Saturday, so look for Calgary to continue riding the hot hand.

Flames' Jonas Hiller: Starting Saturday against Edmonton

Hiller will be between the pipes in Saturday's game against the Oilers, Wes Gilbertson of the Calgary Sun reports. Hiller was perfect in his last outing Wednesday against the Panthers, stopping all 15 shots he faced en route to a 6-0 shutout victory. He'll look to keep rolling Saturday in a favorable matchup with an Edmonton club that has lost eight of its last 10 games.

Flames' Jonas Hiller: Picks up easy shutout of Panthers

Hiller stopped all 15 shots he faced to shut out the Panthers on Wednesday. You won't see a much easier shutout at the NHL level than this, as Florida played arguably the worst game any NHL team has all season after having a 12-game winning streak snapped Monday. Hiller's Flames enjoyed a 4-0 lead after one, and ended up cruising to a 6-0 victory, but a win is a win for fantasy purposes. Considering the 33-year-old has just one other shutout over the past two seasons, don't expect a repeat performance any time soon.

Flames' Jonas Hiller: In goal Wednesday

Hiller will start in the crease Wednesday against the Panthers, Pat Seinberg of Sportsnet 960 The FAN reports. Hiller hasn't seen a start between the pipes since Dec. 13, but that streak will finally come to an end Wednesday. He'll need to prepare for a tough matchup in his return to the net, facing a Panthers club that's been the hottest in the league of late, winning 12 in a row before the Monday loss to the Canucks.

Flames' Jonas Hiller: Makes 25 saves in win

Hiller stopped 25 of 29 shots in Saturday's overtime win over the Rangers. Hiller hasn't been playing very well, but he's still been able to come away with back-to-back wins. The 33-year-old owns a brutal .862 save percentage on the season and has allowed at least four goals in four of his last five appearances, but if he keep winning games, the Flames may just continue to ride him.

Flames' Jonas Hiller: Will start Saturday

Hiller will start Saturday against the Rangers, Randy Sportak of the Calagry Sun reports. Hiller will replace Karri Ramo once again, this time against the Rangers. Hiller, whose played in nine games this season, is sporting an awful .862 save percentage and 3.75 GAA, but did pick up the win against Buffalo on Thursday.

Flames' Jonas Hiller: Makes 27 saves in win over Sabres

Hiller stopped 27 of 30 shots in Thursday's win over Buffalo. It was the first start since Nov.28 for Hiller, who has seen Kari Ramo take on the majority of the workload in the Calgary crease. Hiller is now 3-4-0 on the year with a .862 save percentage. The 33-year-old needed that win Thursday after getting burned for 12 goals in his previous three appearances. If he can build off this win, Hiller has the track record to earn some more starts this season.

Flames' Jonas Hiller: Surprise starter in goal

Hiller has now been confirmed as the starter for Thursday's game against the Rangers, Roger Millions of Sportsnet Calgary reports. Hiller left practice early Wednesday, but was announced as the backup for Thursday's game despite dealing with an illness. In a surprise twist, he will now receive the start in net Thursday, squaring off against a Sabres club scoring 2.54 goals per game on the road this season.
