  • Bruins' Patrick Maroon: Ready for Bruins debut

Maroon (back) will be activated from long-term injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup Saturday against the Penguins, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports. Maroon will make his Boston debut after being acquired from Minnesota at the trade deadline. He hasn't played since Jan. 27, following back surgery in early February. The 35-year-old winger had four goals and 16 points in 49 games with the Wild. Maroon's expected to fill a bottom-six role in Boston down the stretch.

Per Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic, Maroon was an extra forward during Monday's practice. The 35-year-old Maroon has four goals, 16 points, 60 PIM and 71 hits in 49 games this season. When he's ready to make his Boston debut, he will likely occupy a bottom-six spot in the lineup. The Bruins acquired Maroon in a trade with Minnesota on March 8.

  • Bruins' Patrick Maroon: Labeled week-to-week

Maroon (back) is still considered week-to-week, Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe reports Monday. Maroon has been sidelined since Jan. 27 versus the Ducks and will have to wait even longer to make his Bruins debut. Before the veteran got hurt, he was mired in a 13-game goal drought during which he registered a meager nine shots on net to go with two assists.

  • Bruins' Patrick Maroon: Shifts to long-term IR

Maroon (back) was moved to long-term injured reserve by the Bruins on Friday, per PuckPedia. Maroon's shift to LTIR will save the club approximately $800,000 against the cap, at least until he is ready to return to action. Prior to undergoing back surgery, the veteran winger notched four goals, 12 assists and 54 shots in 49 games with the Wild while averaging 12:46 of ice time.

Maroon (back) was traded to the Bruins from the Wild in exchange for Luke Toporowski and a conditional 2026 sixth-round pick Friday, the Star Tribune reports. Maroon is still on injured reserve after undergoing back surgery Feb. 6 and he may not be ready to make his Boston debut until late March. The 35-year-old winger has collected 16 points, 60 PIM and 71 hits through 49 games with Minnesota this season, so he should add some grit to the Bruins' bottom six once he's cleared to play.

  • Wild's Patrick Maroon: Out 4-6 weeks

Maroon underwent back surgery Tuesday and will be sidelined 4-6 weeks. Maroon's injury is a big blow to the Wild's scoring depth right before the trade deadline. The 35-year-old winger has 16 points, 60 PIM, 54 shots on goal and 53 hits through 49 outings this season, but he'll likely miss nearly half of Minnesota's remaining games.

  • Wild's Patrick Maroon: Sneaks in assist

Maroon delivered a power-play assist in Friday's 6-4 win over the Panthers. Maroon has four goals, 11 assists and a minus-9 rating through 45 games. The journeyman winger can work on the power play as needed, but he's more of a bottom-six contributor for 5-on-5 situations. Either way, fantasy managers aren't likely to adopt Maroon's services since he's ranked outside the top-300 skaters in points.

  • Wild's Patrick Maroon: Lone Wild goal in loss

Maroon scored a goal while matching a season high with five shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Flames. Maroon got Minnesota on the board midway through the second period, tapping a loose puck past Jacob Markstrom off an odd-man rush. The goal was Maroon's first in 14 games -- he recorded just two assists in that span. Still, he's up to 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) through 36 games this season, matching his total in 80 contests with Tampa Bay last year.

  • Wild's Patrick Maroon: Collects goal Thursday

Maroon supplied a goal in a 6-1 win over Nashville on Thursday. Maroon found the back of the net early in the second period to extend the Wild's lead to 4-0. It was his third goal and 11th point in 21 games this season. He's already closing in on his 2022-23 total of 14 points in 80 contests with Tampa Bay last season, and that increase in production is likely thanks to him averaging 13:38 of ice time as a member of the Wild in 2023-24, up from 10:21 last year.

  • Wild's Patrick Maroon: Two-point effort in win

Maroon scored a goal and recorded an assist in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Islanders. The veteran winger opened the scoring just 19 seconds into the first period, snapping home a one-timer on a pass from behind the net by Joel Eriksson Ek, and Maroon returned the favor midway through the third by creating a turnover in the Isles' zone then finding Eriksson Ek wide open to the right of Semyon Varlamov. Maroon managed only five goals and 14 points in 80 games last season for Tampa Bay, but he's off to a fantastic start to his first campaign with Minnesota, racking up two goals and nine points in only 12 contests while working his way onto the second power-play unit.

Maroon tied the game 1-1 late in the first period with his first goal as a member of the Wild, beating Vitek Vanecek on a partial breakaway. The 35-year-old winger would later add an assist on Jacob Middleton's tally in the third. • Lightning's Patrick Maroon: Good to go

Maroon (undisclosed) will play Thursday versus the Red Wings, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports. Maroon has been banged up in a few games recently, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him take minimal minutes. The winger has 14 points over 79 contests in a bottom-six role.

Maroon (undisclosed) won't finish Tuesday's game versus the Maple Leafs for precautionary reasons, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports. • Lightning's Patrick Maroon: Exits contest in second period

Maroon sustained an upper-body injury in Thursday's game versus the Islanders. Maroon appeared to be favoring his arm after leaving the ice late in the second period. The 34-year-old winger has been a key part of the Lightning's bottom six, so he'll be missed more on the ice than in fantasy if he can't suit up Saturday in Ottawa.

  • Lightning's Patrick Maroon: Scores twice in victory

Maroon scored two goals on two shots, fueling the Lightning to a 5-1 win over the Capitals on Thursday. Maroon potted two goals in the third period to extend the Bolts' lead to 4-1. • Lightning's Patrick Maroon: Scores goal in loss

Maroon scored a goal on one shot against the Canadiens on Tuesday. Maroon finally found the back of the net for the first time since Jan. 3 against Chicago, a stretch of 33 games without a goal. During his slump, the veteran managed just five assists and 22 shots. As such, fantasy players probably shouldn't be banking on Maroon suddenly finding his offensive stride this year.

Maroon (undisclosed) will be available for Tuesday's game versus Minnesota, Erik Erlendsson of LightningInsider.com reports. Maroon missed practice Monday and is still being evaluated for an undisclosed injury, Chris Krenn of the Lightning's official site reports. Maroon remains mired in a nine-game goal drought and has just one shot on goal in his last six contests. If Maroon is unable to play in Tuesday's clash with the Wild, the Bolts will likely role with seven defensemen in the lineup, though they could also consider bringing a player up from the minors.
