Flyers' Jakub Voracek: Nets two assists Monday

Voracek notched two assists in Monday's 3-2 overtime win over Carolina. After being relegated to the fourth line, Voracek still ended up playing 16:29, and finished with two assists to give him 12 on the season. The Czech winger continues to pile on the assists, but has had a frustrating season so far with just one goal on 68 shots. He's talented and his historically inefficient pace shouldn't last long; fantasy owners should have faith he will turn it around soon.

Flyers' Jakub Voracek: Skates with fourth line

Voracek skated on the fourth line in Monday's morning skate ahead of Philadelphia's game with Carolina, Bill Meltzer of NHL.com reports. Voracek's nightmare season has continued, with coach Dave Hakstol now relegating him to the fourth line. After scoring 81 points last season, Voracek has only nine points in 20 games in 2015-16. Hakstol had showed patience with his star winger up until this point, but it now appears that he's had enough. Voracek is still a supremely-skilled player, so Hakstol will look for any justification to move Voracek back up the ladder and will continue to give him power play time.

Flyers' Jakub Voracek: Goes scoreless in loss Thursday

Voracek posted zeroes in the points column in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Devils. The top-tier winger took six shits and failed to connect on all of them. That's been a pattern this season: he's currently goalless despite taking 40 shots. With just three points in nine games, he's off to a slow start after posting a career-high 81 points last season. Still, it's only a matter of time before he breaks his slump and gets hot. Just make sure he's in your lineup when that happens.

Flyers' Jakub Voracek: Starts the season on a slow note

Voracek has been unable to score any points through his first two games of the season. Voracek had the highest scoring season of his career with 81 points in 2014-15, which resulted in an eight-year, $66 million contract extension during the offseason. The left wing has been ineffective this year, unable to convert any of his 12 shot attempts through the first three games. Voracek will try to recapture last season's form as Philadelphia faces Chicago at home Wednesday.

    • Voracek Inks Eight-Year Extension With Flyers

News: Jakub Voracek signed an eight-year, $66 million contract extension with the Flyers on Thursday, Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
Analysis: It isn't surprising that the Flyers opted to lock Jakub Voracek up long-term after his performance in 2014-15. He exploded last season, racking up a career-best 81 points (22 goals, 59 assists), good for fifth best in the NHL. While fantasy owners shouldn't expect the 25-year-old winger to top 80 points year in and year out, if he can continue to stay healthy, he should continue to be a top fantasy commodity for years to come. Voracek will return to his role on the Flyers' top-line and power play unit in 2015-16.
    • Flyers' Voracek Clears 80 Points

News: With a pair of first-period assists Tuesday against the Islanders, Jakub Voracek surpassed the 80-point mark for the first time in his career.
Analysis: What a season it's been for Jakub Voracek; too bad the rest of the Flyers haven't been able to play up to his level. He's been hot all year, so it's no surprise that he's on an excellent streak right now, with a dozen points over his last eight games.
    • Flyers' Voracek Grabs Two Points In Win

News: Jakub Voracek tallied a goal and an assist -- both on the power play -- in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Penguins.
Analysis: Jakub Voracek has been picking up assists almost at will both of late and on the season, but the goal was just his first in eight games dating back to March 15. The 57th assist moves him into a tie for first in the league with Nicklas Backstrom, and he now sits just two points back of Sidney Crosby's 81 for the league lead in that category as well.
    • Flyers' Voracek Nabs Helper In Win

News: Jakub Voracek's collected his league-leading 56th assist of the season in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Penguins.
Analysis: With eight points in his last five games, Jakub Voracek seems set on reclaiming the overall lead in points. He's got five games left to do it. But with the Flyers out of playoff contention, owners should be monitoring his status on a daily basis. It would be hard to imagine sitting Voracek, but coach Craig Berube may want to protect his star from injury in meaningless games down the stretch.
