Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Assists twice in win over Sharks

Ribeiro added two assists in 15:18 of ice time in Saturday's 6-2 win over the Sharks. Ribeiro continues to perform reasonably well, considering he is no longer the Preds' top pivot following the trade that brought Ryan Johansen to town. He is still on pace for roughly a 50-point season, which would be just a modest step back from the 62 points he posted last year. Ribeiro will look to keep his points streak alive Tuesday against the Capitals.

Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Assists in win over Jets

Ribeiro broke a three-game pointless drought with an assist in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Jets. Ribeiro has seen his ice time reduced since the Preds went out and acquired Ryan Johansen earlier this month. With Johansen now the team's top center, Ribeiro finds himself centering the second line and seeing 14-16 minutes per night, compared to the 18-20 minutes he was averaging previously. He's still a decent fantasy option most nights, but the chances of him matching his 62-point output from last season are slim at best.

Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Garners two points in defeat

Ribeiro tallied a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Blackhawks. Ribeiro ended a nine-game goalless streak with Tuesday's twine bender. While he has been unable to beat opposing goaltenders himself, the 35-year-old has nine helpers in his previous 10 contests. Grabbing the assist on Filip Forsberg's power-play goal against Chicago, the center has logged seven points with the man advantage this season.

Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Moved to second line with arrival of Johansen

Ribeiro registered an assist in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Avalanche. Friday also marked the debut of Ryan Johansen following his acquisition from Columbus via trade earlier in the week. The bad news is, Johansen started the game in Ribeiro's usual spot centering the Preds' first line. However, Ribeiro is still skating with Filip Forsberg on the second line at even strength, and is playing with Johansen on the first power-play unit, so he should still see plenty of opportunities to contribute offensively going forward. Continue to deploy him in your fantasy lineups as you normally would.

Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Dishes out three helpers Monday

Ribeiro dished out three helpers in Monday's 5-3 win over the visiting Rangers. Ribeiro is starting to sizzle with a four-game point streak that's featured a goal and seven assists. In leagues that count shots on goal, he's not the sexiest commodity with just 29 SOG in 36 games, but his 24 points are a 55-point pace. Combine that with his 44 PIM and the veteran should be useful in nearly every fantasy format.

Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Sauces out two assists in loss to Detroit

Ribeiro dished out two assists in Saturday's loss to Detroit. While the Predators didn't get the victory, Ribeiro set up his linemate Filip Forsberg twice and is now riding a three-game point streak. Both Forsberg and Ribeiro are heating up, and while Ribeiro may only have 21 points in 35 games on the year, he's got six points in his last three games and sits 41st among all NHL players in assists (17). Take full advantage of his recent strong play.

Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Scores power-play goal in win

Ribeiro scored a power-play goal and had a helper in Saturday's win over the Wild. It was just the second goal in 17 games for Ribeiro, who had gone quiet offensively of late. While he's got 18 points in 33 games, Riberio doesn't even average a shot-per-game and is stuck on four goals on the year. He should keep piling up points on the top line with Filip Forsberg, but unless he starts shooting more, don't expect too many more goals.

Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Adds goal, assist in win

Ribeiro collected a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Coyotes. Ribeiro now has three points in as many games, and 14 in 24 on the season. After two recent 10-minute minconducts, he also ranks eights in the league with 40 PIM, although he shouldn't be expected to keep up that pace.

Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Handed misconduct in second straight game

Ribeiro was assessed a 10-minute misconduct penalty for the second straight game Monday against Nashville. The Predators suffered their third straight shutout loss at the hands of the Rangers, and Ribeiro's emotions got the better of him late in the game. Clearly frustrated by his lack of production and the team's poor play, Ribeiro played 19:42 before exiting the game for verbally abusing the officials, and head coach Peter Laviolette said after the game that Ribeiro's recent antics would be handled "internally." It remains to be seen what sort of punishment, if any, will be levied on Ribeiro by the team. Sitting him might make the Predators' scoring woes even worse, but clearly something needs to be done to snap the team out of its funk.

    Predators' Mike Ribeiro: Breaks slump

Ribeiro had a goal and an assist in Saturday's win over the Jets, snapping a eight-game stretch without a goal. Breaking the slump is huge for Ribeiro, who has not been as productive as he was last year. Owners will hope that he can carry the momentum into games where the Preds don't rout the opposition 7-0.
