    • Cheechoo Agrees To Deal With KHL Team

News: Jonathan Cheechoo agreed to a contract with Medvescak Zagreb of the KHL, R-Sport reports.
Analysis: Jonathan Cheechoo, 33, has mostly toiled in the minors since 2010, scoring 32 points in 35 games in the AHL last season. The former San Jose Shark posted seasons of 93 and 69 points in the mid-2000s but has only seen his numbers go badly downhill since then. It doesn't appear he'll get another chance at reclaiming NHL glory in the near future.
    • Blues' Cheechoo Heating Up In AHL

News: Jonathan Cheechoo followed up his two-goal, nine-shot game Saturday with a goal on six shots in AHL Peoria's win over Chicago on Sunday, the Peoria Journal Star reports.
Analysis: The 15 shots fired in the two games over the weekend are more than the 13 he took in the first five games of the season. "I feel a lot more comfortable; early on I was thinking too much about systems, over-thinking everything," Jonathan Cheechoo said. "Obviously, we were upset at how our season started (0-3-1), but there's a long way to go and we're getting better." Not that that does much for your fantasy team.
    • Blues' Cheechoo Scores For Affiliate

News: Jonathan Cheechoo scored two goals in AHL Peoria's 5-0 win over San Antonio on Friday, the Peoria Journal-Star reports.
Analysis: The goal was Jonathan Cheechoo's first since he scored Feb. 23 of last season for AHL Worcester. He's been off to a slow start with the Rivermen and is a long shot to get back to the NHL.
    • Blues' Cheechoo Demoted

News: Jonathan Cheechoo was moved off the AHL Peoria's top line after just one game, the Peoria Journal-Star reports.

    • Blues' Cheechoo Clears Waivers

News: Jonathan Cheechoo has cleared waivers and will report to Peoria of the American Hockey League.
Analysis: Jonathan Cheechoo showed a lot of energy early in camp, but couldn't sustain the pace as the preseason games wore on, so the Blues will be looking for him to get some regular ice time with the Rivermen.
    • Blues Sending Cheechoo To AHL

News: Jonathan Cheechoo has been put on waivers and will be sent to Peoria (AHL), the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: The former scoring champ is reporting to Peoria assuming that he's not scooped up off waivers from another club.
    • Blues' Cheechoo A Third Star

News: Jonathan Cheechoo was named the third star in St. Louis' 1-0 preseason loss to Minnesota on Thursday, the In The Slot blog reports.
Analysis: Jonathan Cheechoo, who's had a good training camp so far, led the Blues with six shots on goal and had few good scoring chances. "A real easy chance to go right up to the top of that list... he had chances early," coach Davis Payne said of Cheechoo. "A guy gets his cracks, eventually it's going to go in... He's around the net, knows how to get a stick to a spot where he can get it back, has an outlet. At some point, you figure one of these is going to go in for him."
    • Cheechoo Shines In Blues Practice

News: Jonathan Cheechoo made a good impression with his new team Saturday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. "He might have scored 30 goals out there today," Blues captain David Backes said. "Everything he shot went in, so hopefully that's an omen for what he's got in the bank.
Analysis: Jonathan Cheechoo is attempting to resurrect his career in St. Louis after falling all the way to the AHL. Five seasons ago Cheechoo led the NHL in scoring with 56 goals, and now he's fighting for one of the two open forward spots on the Blues' roster. "It's a valid question," Cheechoo said when asked what happened to his career after the 2005-06 season. "I lost a little bit of confidence, the injuries added up after a while … I just wasn't getting it done. I can't make any excuses. But I'm coming into this camp with a fresh start and trying to show what I can do out there." Cheechoo will need to clear waivers for the Blues to send him down to AHL Peoria, so he has that working for him in his quest to remain in the NHL.
    • Bllues' Cheechoo Eying One Of Two Spots

News: The Blues appear to have two available roster spots at forward, with Jonathan Cheechoo being in competition for one of the spots, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Analysis: The Blues are hoping to pull a little magic out of the hat with Jonathan Cheechoo, who spent all of last season with the Worcester Sharks of the AHL. His contract is a two-way deal and we could very well see Cheechoo open the year at Peoria and offer some depth should injuries hit the forward line in St. Louis.
    • Cheechoo Signs With Blues

News: The Blues have signed Cheechoo to a two-way contract, reports Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Analysis: Cheechoo will make $600k in the NHL and $105k while in the AHL. He played 55 games with Worcester in the AHL last season, recording 47 points but also a minus-11. He has 305 points in 501 career NHL games.
