Senators' Kyle Turris: Will play Monday

Turris (shoulder) said after practice Monday that he's fine, indicating he'll be in the lineup Monday against the Red Wings, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. Turris left Saturday's game late in the third period with the issue, but returned to the ice for practice Monday. It appears he's no worse for the wear, and he'll center the top line for the Senaors alongside Mike Hoffman and Mark Stone.

Senators' Kyle Turris: Dealing with shoulder issue, skates Monday

Turris suffered a shoulder injury in the third period of Saturday's game against the Rangers, but was on the ice for morning skate Monday, the Ottawa Sun reports. Turris suffered the injury on a hit by Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello, but his presence at practice Monday bodes well for his availability Monday against the Red Wings. However, there should be an update on his status at some point confirming one way or the other.

Senators' Kyle Turris: Scores goal in fourth straight

Turris pushed his goal-scoring streak to four games by potting the winning tally 34 seconds into overtime Tuesday against Montreal. The rising star has collected five goals in that span. After putting up a career-high 64 points last year, the Sens' top-line center looks like he's poised to improve upon that. It's not unreasonable to expect 30 goals and 70 points from him by the time the dust settles on this season.

Senators' Kyle Turris: On point-per-game pace

Turris has eight points in eight games so far, but has failed to register on the scoresheet three times during Ottawa's current four-game losing streak. At least the one time he got on the board, it was with two assists and a plus-3 rating, and that kind of thing goes a long way toward helping fantasy owners get over a couple ugly ones here and there. He's steadily improved his point-scoring rate for the entirety of his career, so while keeping up a point-per-game pace will be tough, Turris has quite a reasonable chance to improve on last season's 64-point output.

Turris scored two goals Thursday, providing all the cushion needed to take home an Opening Night win over the Sabres. Linemates Mike Hoffman and Mark Stone both assisted on both markers, and that trio that should be in line for massive fantasy production this year.
