    News: Tyler Eckford has signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Senators, the team's official Twitter page reports.
    Analysis: Tyler Eckford spent last season with with the Coyotes' AHL Portland affiliate, where he recorded 25 points (10G, 15A) and 37 penalty minutes over 75 games. The 10 goals were a career high for the 26-year-old defenseman, who has just seven NHL games under his belt.
  • Eckford Joins Coyotes

    News: The Coyotes have signed Eckford to a one-year (two-way) contract, the team's official site reports.
    Analysis: Eckford, who spent the bulk of this past season in the minors, played in four games with the Devils. He'll now serve as a depth blueliner for the Coyotes.

    News: The Devils reassigned Eckford to the AHL on Thursday, the team's official site reports.
    Analysis: Eckford was an emergency call-up who was never expected to spend much time with the Devils.
  • Devils Recall Eckford

    News: Eckford was recalled by New Jersey under an emergency situation, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
    Analysis: Eckford played a few games last season when regular players were injured, but he's a stopgap while the team ascertains how long Matt Corrente (broken hand) will be out of the lineup.

    Analysis: Eckford, a seventh-round pick from 2007, is off to a great start in his second AHL season with 15 points in 18 games and was named the league's player of the week on Sunday. The 24-year-old isn't much of a prospect, so don't worry about him in Fantasy play just yet. Murphy can also continue to be ignored.

    Analysis: Bergfors, a first-round pick in the 2005 draft, is the only in this list with any real Fantasy value. Keep a hold of him in keeper formats, but ignore everyone else.
