• Two-Point Night For Sabres' Ennis

News: Tyler Ennis registered an assist and the game-winning goal in Monday's 4-3 triumph over the Hurricanes.
Analysis: It seemed highly improbable that Tyler Ennis's goal would hold up as the game-winner after his tally gave the team a 4-0 lead, but nothing ever seems to come easy for the Sabres, who nearly squandered the sizable advantage. With 20 goals and 45 points on the campaign, Ennis has delivered production similar to a year ago, but he's still miscast as a leading scorer for the team. He may finally have some support in 2015-16, when either of the two franchise center prospects in the upcoming draft, Connor McDavid and Jack Eichel, are expected to land in Buffalo.
  • Sabres' Ennis Returning Wednesday

News: Tyler Ennis (upper body) will return to the Sabres' lineup Wednesday against the Maple Leafs, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports.
Analysis: After missing the Sabres' last two contests with the injury, Tyler Ennis slotted back in on the top line during Wednesday's morning skate, suggesting that he's healthy and ready to play. The league-worst Sabres don't have many players on their roster who warrant fantasy interest, but as the team's leading scorer with 19 goals and 42 points, Ennis is about the most intriguing of the lot.
  • Sabres' Ennis Could Play Wednesday

News: Coach Ted Nolan hopes that Tyler Ennis (upper body) will be ready to play Wednesday against the Maple Leafs.
Analysis: Tyler Ennis will thus miss Monday's game against the Coyotes, which sets the stage for the Sabres to roll out a top line of Matt Moulson, Johan Larsson and Brian Gionta to start the contest.
  • Sabres' Ennis Doubtful For Monday

News: Tyler Ennis did some puckhandling drills at the tail end of practice and it doesn't look like he'll play Monday, reports John Vogl of The Buffalo News.
Analysis: It looks like Tyler Ennis (upper body) will miss his second straight game after missing Saturday's game against Colorado. The Sabres offense will take a hit with Ennis' absence and Brian Gionta is expected to take his place on the top line. Ennis considered day-to-day.
  • Sabres' Ennis Iffy For Monday

News: Tyler Ennis (upper body) took the ice on Sunday.
Analysis: Tyler Ennis missed Saturday's game against the Avs, with his status for Monday's contest against the Coyotes still up in the air. "I'm feeling better each day," Ennis noted Sunday. "We'll see what tomorrow brings. I just wanted to get out there, feel the ice, skate around, work on some skills."
  • Sabres' Ennis Out Saturday, But Could Play Monday

News: Tyler Ennis (upper body) will travel with the Sabres on their two-game road trip, but won't play Saturday against the Avalanche.
Analysis: With a goal and a power-play assist, Tyler Ennis was perhaps the Sabres' brightest star in Thursday's loss to the Coyotes in Tankapalooza 2015, but was ultimately forced out of the contest in the third period due to the injury. It doesn't sound like the ailment is too significant for Ennis, but he'll need at least one game off to recover. Though Ennis could be ready to go in time for Monday's rematch with the Coyotes in Arizona, Tim Schaller will fill his spot in Saturday's contest.
  • Sabres' Ennis Leaves With Upper-Body Injury

News: Tyler Ennis left Thursday's game against the Coyotes with an upper-body injury and will not return.
Analysis: The nature of Tyler Ennis's injury is unclear at this point, but he'll miss at least the remainder of Thursday's contest, in which he collected a goal and an assist before departing. He should have an updated status at some point prior to the team's next game Saturday against the Avalanche.
  • Sabres' Ennis Frustrated After Blowing Lead

News: Tyler Ennis notched an assist in Monday's 4-3 loss, to Dallas but voiced his displeasure with the team to the media after the Sabres blew the lead three separate times, The Buffalo News reports.
Analysis: "I thought we had it and we deserved it," said Tyler Ennis after the game. The Sabres took a 2-1 lead into the third period and had taken only four fewer shots than the Stars, but fell apart in the third period, conceding three goals on 12 shots. The Sabres have had a disappointing season so far and blowing leads as they did Monday doesn't really come as a surprise. Hopefully, though, this frustration will push Ennis harder for the final nine games of the season, giving poolies a little more of an offensive boost. If there's any Sabre worth owning, it's probably Ennis.
  • Sabres' Ennis (Illness) Will Play Monday

News: Tyler Ennis (illness) is on the ice for Monday's pregame warmups against the Stars and is expected to play as a result, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News reports.
Analysis: Tyler Ennis was dealing with flu-like symptoms ahead of Monday's game but apparently will push through whatever discomfort is bothering him. Despite the illness, he should be deployed as usual Monday.
  • Sabres' Ennis Under The Weather

News: Tyler Ennis -- who did not participate in Monday's morning skate -- is dealing with with flu-like symptoms.
Analysis: That said, coach Ted Nolan still hopes that Tyler Ennis will be ready for Monday night's game against the Stars, though a decision on the forward's status may not arrive until pre-game warmups.
