    • Blackhawks' Regin Joins KHL

News: Peter Regin signed a one-year contract with Jokerit of the KHL on Monday, the Rockford Register Star reports.
Analysis: Peter Regin will continue to play for AHL Rockford through the end of their playoff run, but he'll play next season in Europe in what will probably represent a step up in the quality of competition. The 29-year-old is still hopeful of eventually regaining a regular role in the NHL, where he's accrued 243 career games, including four for the Blackhawks earlier in 2014-15.
    • Blackhawks' Regin Sent To AHL Rockford

News: Peter Regin was reassigned to AHL Rockford on Saturday, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis: With Daniel Carcillo (knee) set to return to the lineup for Sunday's game, Peter Regin would have been forced to serve as a healthy scratch had he stuck around with the Blackhawks. Instead, he'll receive the chance to play more regularly in the minors and will be at the top of the list if an injury at forward forces the Blackhawks to add another player their 23-man roster.
    • Blackhawks Recall Regin From AHL Rockford

News: The Blackhawks recalled Peter Regin from AHL Rockford on Thursday, Mark Lazerus of The Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Analysis: Peter Regin did not break camp with the Blackhawks despite playing exclusively at the NHL level the last five years, but he earned a return trip to the top level by tallying four goals and six assists in 11 games with Rockford. With both Patrick Sharp and Daniel Carcillo sidelined, Regin will likely slot in somewhere on the Blackhawks' fourth line.
    • Blackhawks Assign Regin To Rockford

News: Peter Regin was assigned to AHL Rockford on Sunday, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: The seven-year veteran only managed four goals and seven assists in 61 games with the Islanders and Blackhawks last season. He could see time in the NHL if Chicago suffers some injuries but he won't have a big fantasy impact, even in deeper leagues.
    • Blackhawks Waive Regin

News: Peter Regin was waived by the Blackhawks on Saturday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Analysis: The signing of Daniel Carcillo seemed to be the writing on the wall for Peter Regin, who appeared in 61 regular season games last season between the Islanders and Blackhawks. His experience may be enough for some other team to take a chance on him as a fourth-liner.
    • Hawks Re-Sign Regin

News: The Blackhawks re-signed Peter Regin to a one-year, $650,000 contract Tuesday.
Analysis: Peter Regin will return to Chicago, where he posted two goals and two assists in seven games last season after being acquired at the trade deadline. He'll likely be the odd man out most nights unless injuries strike.
    • Hawks' Regin A Healthy Scratch Wednesday

News: Peter Regin will be a healthy scratch in Wednesday's Game 5, Chris Kuc of the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: Peter Regin took over for Brandon Bollig in Game 4, but will return to the bench Wednesday night.
    • Hawks' Regin Back In the Lineup

News: Peter Regin, who was a healthy scratch for Game 3 against the Kings, is back in the lineup on Monday for Game 4, ABC 7 in Chicago reports.
Analysis: Hawks' coach Joel Quenneville is looking for more offense with the decision to skate Peter Regin instead of Brandon Bollig who was a healthy scratch.
    • Hawks' Regin To Make Playoff Debut Sunday

News: Peter Regin, who was acquired by the Hawks from the Islanders in February, will make his Blackhawks' playoff debut on Sunday in Game 5 against the Wild, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Analysis: Blackhawks' coach Joel Quenneville is again tinkering with his lines and is looking for speed and quickness from Peter Regin to help against the Wild. It appears that Regin is in and Jeremy Morin is expected to be a scratch for Sunday night. Regin skated on the fourth line at Sunday's morning skate with Ben Smith and Joakim Nordstrom.
    • Hawks Scratch Regin Wednesday

News: Peter Regin will be a healthy scratch Wednesday against the Canadiens, ESPN Chicago reports.
Analysis: Peter Regin had been skating the past three games on the third line with Bryan Bickell and Jeremy Morin. He will be replaced by Ben Smith as the third-line center. Regin has been in-and-out of the lineup since he was acquired from the Islanders in February. The Blackhawks are looking to form their lines for the upcoming playoffs so this is not a good sign for Regin heading to the postseason.
