  • Ducks' Robak Assigned To AHL Norfolk

News: Colby Robak cleared waivers Friday and was assigned to AHL Norfolk, Elliot Teaford of the Low Angeles News Group reports.
Analysis: Colby Robak was placed on waivers in a precursor move to the Ducks activating Eric Brewer off injured reserve. The team traded for him in early December, sending Jesse Blacker and a conditional pick to the Panthers, but it appears the defenseman hasn't lived up to expectations; he played in just five games with the Ducks and posted only one point. He will now head to the AHL and await another opportunity.
  • Ducks' Robak Placed On Waivers

News: Colby Robak was placed on waivers Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis: His placement on waivers is likely connected to the impending return of blueliner Eric Brewer, who is finally healthy after suffering a broken foot back on Dec. 1. Colby Robak had appeared in just one game since Dec. 19, spending most of his stay with the Ducks as a healthy scratch. Expect him to report to AHL Norfolk once he clears waivers.
  • Ducks' Robak Gets Assist In Win

News: Colby Robak picked up an assist, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Wednesday's win over the Flames.
Analysis: Colby Robak played in his first game since Dec. 19, as Clayton Stoner's late scratch due to a lower-body injury forced him into the lineup. Assuming Stoner's injury isn't overly serious, Robak doesn't look like he'll get much sustained run in the Anaheim lineup. In fact, he could even be bound for the minors soon, as the Ducks figure to have Eric Brewer (broken foot) back on the blue line shortly after the All-Star break.
  • Ducks Aquire Robak From Panthers

News: Colby Robak was traded to the Ducks on Thursday in exchange for Jesse Blacker and a conditional draft pick.
Analysis: Colby Robak hadn't been seeing much playing time for the Panthers, failing to record a point over seven games so far in 2014-15. With the Ducks dealing with several injuries at the position, the 24-year-old Robak may see an opportunity to land a role on the third defensive pairing.
  • Panthers' Robak Will Be In Lineup Monday

News: Colby Robak will be in the lineup Monday against the Wild, Steve Goldstein of FOX Sports reports.
Analysis: Colby Robak has made just six appearances for Florida this season, and it seems likely that he'll see a fourth-line role in Monday's game against the Wild.
  • Panthers' Robak Could Play Tuesday

News: With Dmitry Kulikov's status unknown for Tuesday's game because of a knee injury, Florida had Colby Robak practicing with Brian Campbell on defence Monday, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: Colby Robak has only played in two games this season registering no points and only two shots on goal. Depending on the extent of Kulikov's injury, Robak could find himself in a regular role on defence for the time being. Playing with Brian Campbell on the second defence pairing could also see his minutes played around the 18 minute mark per game but chances of him seeing the power play are slim because of the other options on defence.
  • Panthers Recall Robak

News: Colby Robak was recalled from AHL San Antonio on Friday, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
Analysis: The Panthers don't have any extra defensemen on hand with Erik Gudbranson out with a knee injury, so Colby Robak will join the team to provide some added depth. He'll more than likely be bound for the press box most nights.
  • Panthers' Robak Removed From Active Roster

News: Colby Robak was released from the team's active roster Thursday, the Miami Herald reports.
Analysis: With Quinton Howden and Tyson Strachan returning from illness and injury, respectively, Colby Robak and Scott Timmins were demoted. Robak appeared in 16 games for the Panthers this season, mustering just one point and 17 penalty minutes.
  • Panthers Recall Robak

News: Colby Robak will join the Panthers for Tuesday's bout against the Rangers. He'll fill in for Dmitry Kulikov, who will miss the duration of the season, Dieter Kurtenbach of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.
Analysis: Colby Robak has notched only one point (an assist) in 15 games with Florida this season. He's unlikely to be of much fantasy value as the Panthers close out the season.
  • Panthers Expected To Recall Robak

News: The Panthers are expected to recall Colby Robak from AHL San Antonio soon.
Analysis: Head coach Kevin Dineen said the recall will be due to all the injuries to the Panthers' other defensemen.
