      Analysis: Dana Tyrell appeared in three games for the Blue Jackets early last season, but otherwise languished at AHL Springfield, where he tallied 13 goals and 26 points in 51 games. The 26-year-old figures to spend most of 2015-16 in the minors.

      News: Dana Tyrell re-signed with the Blue Jackets on Monday, inking a one-year, two-way deal.
      Analysis: Dana Tyrell spent the bulk of last season in the AHL, splitting time between the Springfield Falcons and Syracuse Crunch. In 63 total games, he recorded 15 goals and 18 assists. Tyrell also made a brief cameo with the Tampa Bay Lightning, appearing in seven contests. Acquired from Tampa Bay in March, Tyrell figures to spend parts of next season in both the NHL and AHL.
    • Tyrell Sent To Blue Jackets In Four-Prospect Deal

      News: Dana Tyrell and Matt Taormina were traded to the Blue Jackets on Tuesday in exchange for Jonathan Audy-Marchessault and Dalton Smith.
      Analysis: Dana Tyrell had nine goals and 12 assists over 44 games for AHL Syracuse. Though he's just 24 years old, Tyrell isn't regarded as a top prospect, but he'll get a chance to make an impact with his new organization. Look for him to report to AHL Springfield.
    • Lightning's Tyrell Re-Assigned To AHL

      News: Dana Tyrell was re-assigned to AHL Syracuse on Wednesday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
      Analysis: Steven Stamkos (leg) is still a ways away from a return, but it looks like the team will get Tom Pyatt (collarbone) back Thursday, making Dana Tyrell expendable. In 132 career NHL games, Tyrell has posted 24 points (7G, 17A) and 26 penalty minutes.
    • Lightning's Tyrell Scratched Tuesday

      News: Dana Tyrell was scratched from Tuesday's lineup against the Capitals, the Tampa Tribune reports.
      Analysis: Dana Tyrell has appeared in four games this season after being recalled from AHL Syracuse on Nov. 27. He's yet to record a point, however, and has attempted just three shots on goal in 37:24 of total ice time.
    • Bolts Recall Tyrell

      News: Dana Tyrell was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Wednesday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.
      Analysis: The move indicates that neither Pierre-Cedric Labrie (upper body) or Ryan Malone (foot) will be ready to play Wednesday vs. the Flyers, allowing Dana Tyrell to enter the lineup for the first time this season. He's likely to serve on the fourth line with the Bolts but isn't expected to remain in the NHL very long.
    • Tyrell Waived By Lightning

      News: Dana Tyrell was waived by the Lightning on Sunday, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
      Analysis: Dana Tyrell will likely end up with AHL Syracuse once he clears waivers Monday. He scored a goal and added three assists in 21 games with Bolts last season. He will provide the Lightning with some organizational depth at the center position.
