Sharks' Micheal Haley: Recalled to NHL again

Sharks' Micheal Haley: Reassigned to AHL on Friday

Haley was reassigned to AHL San Jose on Friday, Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area reports. Ben Smith and Joonas Donskoi appear ready to return to action Saturday against the Hurricanes, meaning the Sharks are no longer in need of Haley's services as a depth forward. Haley only suited up for one game during his stay with the big club, logging 6:48 of ice time Thursday against the Kings.

Sharks' Micheal Haley: Recalled from AHL San Jose

Haley was recalled from AHL San Jose on Wednesday. Haley is having an excellent year in the AHL, scoring four goals and adding two assists in three games this season. Known for piling up penalty minutes, the 29-year-old Guelph native can be a productive NHL player if he can continue his point scoring ways. He and Mirco Mueller replace Nikolay Goldobin, Dylan DeMelo and Bryan Lerg on the NHL roster.

    • Sharks Re-Sign Haley

News: Micheal Haley was re-signed Wednesday by the Sharks on a one-year, two-way contract, Curtis Pashelka of the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Analysis: Micheal Haley appeared in four games with the Sharks in 2014-15, but was only called upon when the team was short on healthy formats. That's likely to remain the case again this season, so expect him to spend the bulk of his time at AHL Worcester.
    • Sharks Reassign Haley

News: Micheal Haley was reassigned to AHL Worcester on Sunday, CSN Bay Area reports.
Analysis: Micheal Haley was recalled Dec. 26 in part due to John Scott (suspension) and Mike Brown (leg) both being unavailable. Scott has served his four game suspension and will return, making Haley expendable. The winger failed to make much of an impact in his time with the team, going pointless in each of the four games he played in with just one shot on goal while taking 11 penalty minutes.
    • Sharks Recall Haley

News: Micheal Haley was recalled by the Sharks on Friday, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports.
Analysis: With John Scott (suspension) and Mike Brown (leg) both out of the lineup, Micheal Haley has been called up to provide some much needed depth at right wing. Haley has tallied 13 points and 60 PIM through 27 games with AHL Worcester this season.
    • Sharks Sign Haley To One-Year Deal

News: The Sharks signed Micheal Haley to a one-year contract on Thursday.
Analysis: Micheal Haley had seven goals, 11 assists, and 131 penalty minutes through 53 games with Hartford of the AHL last season. In his career he's played 52 NHL games spread over four seasons. In that span he has two goals, an assist, and 163 penalty minutes.
    • Rangers' Haley Sent To AHL

News: Micheal Haley was reassigned to AHL Hartford, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
Analysis: The 27-year-old undrafted center averaged about 13 minutes of ice time in two preseason games, registering a minus-1 rating. While it's possible an injury could mean seeing Micheal Haley again at the NHL level, he's not likely to assist any fantasy owner in any format.
    • Rangers Recall Kreider, Send Haley Back To Whale

News: The Rangers have sent Micheal Haley back to Connecticut of the AHL and recalled Chris Kreider, tweets Jim Cerny of the Rangers website.
Analysis: Micheal Haley had very little ice time in his nine game visit to the NHL this season. Previously an undrafted walk on with the Islanders, Haley has very little fantasy value.
    • Rangers Recall Haley

News: The Rangers have recalled Micheal Haley from AHL Connecticut.
Analysis: Micheal Haley is presumably on hand in the event that Brad Richards is unable to play Tuesday against the Flyers. He'll provide the Rangers with some fourth-line toughness.
