    • Jets Return Mannino To The AHL

News: Peter Mannino returns to the AHL's Icecaps to make room for Chris Mason on Friday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnepeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Peter Mannino only played one period of one game in Chris Mason's absence, but saved all four shots he faced. Ondrej Pavelec and Mason have established themselves well above Mannino.
    • Jets Recall Mannino

News: The Jets recalled Peter Mannino from St. John's of the AHL on Saturday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Peter Mannino will serve as Ondrej Pavelec's backup with Chris Mason dealing with a groin injury. Mannino has just two career starts to his name, but he could see some spot action if Pavelec (.863 save percentage, 4.19 goals-against average) is unable to turn things around.
    • Jets Send Mannino To AHL

News: Peter Mannino was reassigned to the St. John's IceCaps of the AHL on Tuesday, the Jets' official site reports.
Analysis: Peter Mannino was impressive in 2009-10, when he posted a .921 save percentage and 2.34 goals-against average for the AHL's Chicago Wolves. Unfortunately, his GAA ballooned to 3.12 with the same club last year. Perhaps he will find some consistency with the new affiliate belonging to the reborn Jets.
    • Thrasers Send Mannino to AHL

News: Mannino has been sent to the AHL, reports Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Analysis: Mannino is deep depth for the Thrashers, spending most of the year in the AHL and being called up in emergencies.
    • Thrashers Recall Mannino

News: The Thrashers recalled Mannino from AHL Chicago on Monday, Ben Wright of the Thrashers' official site reports.
Analysis: With Ondrej Pavelec still nursing an undisclosed injury, Mannino will give Atlanta another available netminder. He has a 3.02 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage in 35 AHL games this season.
    • Thrashers' Mannino Sent Down

News: Mannino was sent to AHL Chicago by the Thrashers on Friday, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: Mannino was sent down to get some extra work in over the All-Star Break. He should return to Atlanta shortly after the break.
    • Mannino Recalled By Thrashers

News: Mannino has been recalled by the Thrashers, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Analysis: He'll serve as the backup to Ondrej Pavelec while Chris Mason recovers from a lower body injury. Mannino is 12-10-2 over 27 games with Chicago (AHL) this season, but he's posted a 3.09 GAA and .896 save percentage after much better numbers (2.34 GAA, .921 save percentage) in his first campaign with the Wolves last season. The extent of Mason's injury is unclear at this time, so there's no way to know just how long Mannino will be with the big club.
    • Thrashers Reassign Mannino to AHL

News: The Thrashers reassigned Mannino to AHL Chicago on Thursday, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Chris Vivlamore reports.
Analysis: Ondrej Pavelec is back with the team, so Mannino is no longer needed. He'll likely stick in the minors unless more injury emergencies arise.
    • Mannino Still With Thrashers

News: Updating previous reports, Mannino is still with the Thrashers in a backup role to Chris Mason.
Analysis: This isn't likely to last long at all, as Ondrej Pavelec is simply on a conditioning assignment and is due back soon. Mannino only has 38 NHL minutes so far this season, and that isn't likely to change in the near future.
    • Pavelec Activated, Mannino Re-Assigned To Minors

News: Mannino was sent back to the Chicago Wolves on Monday, allowing the team to activate Ondrej Pavelec from injured reserve.
Analysis: Mannino was not a viable fantasy option during his call up, and will remain a non-factor for the duration of this year.
