      Stars' Cody Eakin: Production lags

Eakin had three shots and no points through 16:17 of ice time in Tuesday's loss to Toronto. Eakin's point production hasn't been what many hoped for on a Stars team that is praised daily for their offensive depth. While he's on pace for his first 20-goal season, his points pace and shooting pace are down from last year despite the wealth of goals to go around in Dallas. He can provide decent secondary scoring, but the 24-year-old doesn't appear to be taking a step forward this season.
