Maple Leafs' Peter Holland: Notches another power-play goal in loss

Holland scored a power-play goal on five shots in Tuesday's 4-3 loss to the Flames. Holland continues to be dominant on the power-play, as five of his eight goals have come with the man advantage. While he is still only seeing just over 14 total minutes of ice time per game this season, he is getting plenty of time on the power-play and is making it count. The 25-year-old is already just three points shy of tying the career-high 25 points he tallied last season, despite having played 15 fewer games.

Maple Leafs' Peter Holland: Grabs power-play goal

Holland went top shelf to snag a late goal Thursday against the Kings. Holland has been a beast on the power play this season, grabbing nine points with the man advantage in 33 games. Averaging under 14 minutes of ice time per game, the 24-year-old is maximizing his chances, recording seven goals this season, just four shy of his career high.

Maple Leafs' Peter Holland: Gets winner, has six points in last eight games

Holland netted the game-winning goal on the power play in a 4-1 victory over the Blues on Saturday night. He has six points, including four assists, in his last eight games. That stint in the media box earlier this season clearly injected a big does of reality into the Caledon native's game. Holland may never live up to his draft billing as an offensive performer, but there is some potential here as a possible third-line guy who sees time on the PP. Don't take the leap just yet, though -- Holland needs to prove this little stretch is real before he even hits our radar.

Maple Leafs' Peter Holland: Two helpers in loss to Isles

Holland picked up two assists in Tuesday's 6-3 loss to the Islanders. He played 13:55 and had two shots on goal, a minor penalty and four hits. Holland is starting to show a few signs of life in his offensive game, but we're not convinced that he's fully gained his coach's trust. Until then, he's just another bottom-six center.

Maple Leafs' Peter Holland: Hasn't taken leap forward expected of him

Holland played 15:43 in Sunday's win over the Islanders. He recorded one shot, one hit and one blocked shot. He has four points in his last eight games and is on pace to improve his career best of 15 points. But Holland hasn't taken that big step that the Leafs and his fantasy owners have anticipated. He's a low-level, deep-league option only.

Maple Leafs' Peter Holland: Gets goal, but not out of doghouse yet

Holland scored Tuesday in his return to action after missing the previous four games as a healthy scratch. He got into the lineup because of an injury to Daniel Winnik. The goal came on the power play and Holland pumped his fists, ostensibly in relief, after he tipped in the puck. Holland has been in coach Mike Babcock's doghouse so far this season and has been a healthy scratch five times so far. We can't recommend him until he's fully off the chain and we don't see that happening just yet.

Maple Leafs' Peter Holland: Temporary assignment on second line Wednesday

Holland will move up to the second line against Buffalo on Wednesday night, reports the Toronto Star. The role is temporary as the Leafs shuffle lines to deal with injuries. Tyler Bozak is out, so Holland scoots up to center Shawn Mattias and Brad Boyes. Holland has a goal and assist in five games so far and appears to be among coach Mike Babcock's favorites. His focus thus far, though, has been on defensive assignments including faceoffs (54.1 win percentage) and responsible play (plus-1). He'll need to take more than six shots in five games to become fantasy relevant.

  • Leafs' Holland Set To Return

News: Peter Holland (lower body) is slated to play Sunday against the Sens, David Alter of reports.
Analysis: Peter Holland, who last suited up back on March 13, returns to the Leafs' lineup with 11 goals and 23 points in 59 games, to go along with minus-1 rating.
  • Leafs' Holland Ruled Out For Saturday

News: Peter Holland (lower body) will not play Saturday against the Senators, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.
Analysis: With the Leafs kicking off a back-to-back set Saturday, it appears coach Peter Horachek simply didn't want to have Peter Holland play two consecutive games immediately upon returning from injury. Instead, Holland's return to action will likely come Sunday versus Ottawa, assuming the center suffers no setbacks in his recovery overnight.
  • Leafs' Holland Still Targeting Weekend

News: Peter Holland (lower body) is joining his teammates for a full practice Friday, and still hopes to return to games this weekend, TSN's Jonas Siegel reports.
Analysis: Toronto faces the Bruins on Saturday and the Senators on Sunday, providing Peter Holland with two opportunities to get back on the ice. Given that he's logging a full practice Friday, Holland seems to have a real shot at playing in both games.
