Bruins RW Tyler Randell notches first NHL goal on Wednesday

In his NHL regular season debut, Bruins winger Tyler Randell tallied a goal, while seeing 8:53 worth of ice time in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Avalanche. With the Bruins having snapped a three-game losing streak to start the season with Wednesday's triumph, look for the fourth-line trio of Randell, Zac Rinaldo and Joonas Kemppainen to remain intact when the Bruins take on the Coyotes on Saturday. With Randell drawing into the lineup after having previously been a healthy scratch, Max Talbot was the odd man out for the B's up front Wednesday.

    • Still with the big club

News: Tyler Randell remains with the Bruins in advance of Thursday's regular season opener against the Jets.
Analysis: The Bruins have a couple of spare forwards at the moment, so it's unclear if Tyler Randell will suit up Thursday, though thanks to a strong training camp, the 2009 sixth-rounder will stick with the big club early on.
    • Still fighting for a roster spot

News: Tyler Randell remains in Bruins training camp and is a surprising candidate for a roster spot on the fourth line, CSN New England's Joe Haggerty reports.
Analysis: Tyler Randell is an enforcer type selected by the Bruins in the sixth round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. While he isn't flashy in handling the puck, Randell has been known to stick up for his teammates and that typically leads to respectable PIM totals, such as last season, when he picked up 120 minutes in the Sin Bin with AHL Providence. If he ends up making the team, he could prove to be a worthy investment if your league heavily rewards for the tough stuff.
    • Bruins Sign Randell

News: The Bruins have signed Tyler Randell to a one-year, two-way contract for the 2015-16 season.
Analysis: A sixth-round draft pick in 2009, Tyler Randell led AHL Providence with 120 penalty minutes in 2014-15, while notching 20 points in 74 games. If he does see any action for the big club this coming season, the 24-year-old forward would likely be limited to fourth-line duty.
    • Bruins make cuts from camp

News: The Boston Globe reports that the Bruins trimmed their training camp roster significantly on Sunday. G Adam Courchaine, G Matt Dalton, RW Jordan Knackstedt, LW Matt Marquardt, D Scott Fletcher and D Rob Kwiet were returned to the AHL. D Alain Goulet and LW Lane MacDermid, both of whom remain unsigned draft picks, for now will skate solely with the AHL roster. Finally, D Ryan Button, RW Jordan Caron, G Michael Hutchinson, and RW Tyler Randell, were returned to their junior clubs.
Analysis: None of these players have any Fantasy value at this time, so continue to ignore them in all formats.
