• Out a couple weeks with hand injury

News: Jack Campbell is expected to miss a "couple weeks" with a hand injury, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official site reports.
Analysis: It's unclear at this point which hand it is or how he injured himself, but Jack Campbell is highly regarded as a proficient puck stopper. Even before the injury, he wasn't expected to crack the roster come Opening Night, though Campbell is said to bring a rigid work ethic to the ice and is cool under pressure, traits that could help him ascend to a substantial role in the NHL after enough development time. A return in a couple weeks would put him on pace for a return around Oct. 16, when he'll presumably start work with AHL Texas.
  • Stars Re-Sign Campbell To One-Year Deal

News: Jack Campbell has re-signed with the Stars on a one-year, $650,000 contract.
Analysis: The 23-year-old is likely headed back to AHL Texas this season after posting an uninspiring 3.03 GAA and .907 save percentage for the team in 2014-15. The parent club has an opening for their backup goalie with Jhonas Enroth unlikely to be retained in free agency, but expect the Stars to address that vacancy outside of the organization rather than turning to Jack Campbell.
  • Stars Reassign Campbell

News: Cambell was one of 14 player reassigned on Sunday by the Stars.
Analysis: This shouldn't come as a surprise. Jack Campbell has a lot of promise, but the Stars have a logjam at the NHL level with three goaltenders on one-way contracts. Campbell will need to contend with one of those three, Jussi Rynnas, for playing time as Rynnas was placed on waivers Monday.
  • Campbell To Return To Texas Stars Lineup

News: Jack Campbell appears ready to return to the net for the AHL Stars as the team has sent goalie Josh Robinson back to Idaho of the ECHL, according to Mark Stepneski of the Stars Official Site.
Analysis: Jack Campbell made his NHL debut this season in a loss to Anaheim on October 20 where he allowed six goals. That was a special circumstance though. Barring injury to one of the Stars' top tenders, Campbell is unlikely to make a return appearance this season.
  • Campbell "Close" To Returning To AHL Stars

News: Jack Campbell was skating on Monday morning and said he's "getting close" to returning, according to Mark Stepneski of the Stars Official Website.
Analysis: With just one NHL game under his belt, Jack Campbell is still unlikely to see much NHL action this season barring an injury to one of the top two tenders. However, Stars management will be glad to have Campbell back playing for the AHL Stars, should anything happen to their starters.
  • Stars' Campbell Sent To AHL

News: Jack Campbell was assigned to AHL Texas on Monday, the Mark Stepneski of NHL.com reports.
Analysis: Jack Campbell had a rough game in net Sunday, allowing six goals on 47 shot attempts. With Kari Lehtonen expected to return for the Stars on Thursday, Campbell will go back to honing his game in the minors.
  • Stars' Campbell Could Start Sunday

News: Jack Campbell could start Sunday's game against the Ducks, the Dallas Morning News reports.
Analysis: Nothing's official just yet, but the report states that "it's pretty clear Jack Campbell is playing [Sunday]." Kari Lehtonen (lower body) is not ready to play, and Dan Ellis has started four straight games, including Saturday's tilt. Last season, Campbell went 19-13-3 with a 2.65 GAA and a .905 save percentage with team's AHL affiliate.
  • Stars' Campbell Lets In Six In Debut

News: Jack Campbell made his NHL debut Sunday against the Ducks. He let in six goals on 47 shots and took the loss.
Analysis: Not the start to his career Jack Campbell wanted, one must presume. He may not play again anytime soon, with Kari Lehtonen expected to be back in fairly short order.
  • Stars Call Up Campbell From AHL On Saturday

News: Jack Campbell was called up from AHL Texas on Saturday, accordign to the team's official site.
Analysis: With Kari Lehtonen out with a lower-body injury, the Stars were in need of some depth in net. Capmbell's stay isn't supposed to be lengthy, but it will all depend on Lehtonen's recovery time.
  • Stars' Campbell Assigned To AHL

News: Jack Campbell was assigned to AHL Texas on Saturday, Mark Stepneski of the Stars' official website reports.
Analysis: Jack Campbell was recalled Tuesday in favor of Richard Bachman, but he didn't get a chance to make his NHL debut, and now he's headed back to to the AHL, with Bachman again taking over as the Stars' backup goalie behind Kari Lehtonen.
