Austin Madaisky: Heading overseas to play in Germany
Madaisky cleared irrevocable waivers Thursday and will now head to Germany to play for the Straubing Tigers of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga, Aaron Portzline of The Columbus Dispatch reports. The 2010 fifth-round pick was never able to carve out a role with the Blue Jackets, as he never was given an opportunity to make his NHL debut during his three-year stay with the organization. He will now head overseas to continue his professional hockey career.
