Predators' Roman Josi: Picks up power-play assist in Tuesday's win

Josi set up Shea Weber's blast on the power play in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Ducks. Josi now has assists in back-to-back games, though he failed to record a shot on goal after firing seven in Saturday's blowout win. He has two goals and three assists in his past seven contests.

Predators' Roman Josi: Scores unassisted goal in win

Josi scored his third goal of the year on four shots Thursday against the Wild, adding a plus-2 rating, two PIM and three blocks. That's points in four straight for Josi, who continues to show that he's not at all in Shea Weber's shadow. In fact, he's got three more points than his better-known teammate. Josi's about as reliable as fantasy defensemen come.

Predators' Roman Josi: Shooting lots, scoring little

Josi fired a season-high six shots on goal during Saturday's 2-1 OT loss to the Penguins, but was held off the scoresheet for the third consecutive game. Take a deep breath, fantasy owners; there should be no concerns about Josi. At 2.9 goals per game, the Preds are currently one of the top offensive teams in the league, and Josi will remain a part of that, as long as he continues to see premium ice time (currently averaging 24 minutes per game) as part of the team's top defensive pairing alongside fellow stud Shea Weber. In short, he deserves to be in your fantasy lineup at every opportunity. Use him well.

Predators' Roman Josi: Nets two goals in win Tuesday

Josi scored his first and second goals of the season in Tuesday's win against New Jersey. Josi gave the Predators a 1-0 lead on the power play halfway through the first period. He took a pass from captain Shea Weber and beat Keith Kinkaid five-hole. Josi also added a cross-country empty-net goal while Nashville was shorthanded late in the third. He skated 22:23 and had three shots with a plus-1 rating. The Predators really drive their offense from the blue line, giving Josi plenty of opportunities to put up points. He remains a must-start in pretty much all formats.

Predators D Roman Josi shooting lots, scoring little after two games

Predators defenseman Roman Josi, who has yet to crack the scoresheet after two games, leads the team in shots on goal with seven in two games. Fantasy owners need not worry about Josi's slow start. As long as he keeps firing the puck with abandon, the points should follow. He's also second on the team in average ice time per game with 22:20, which means he's out there in all important situations. Use him well.
