      Islanders' Louis Leblanc: Clears waivers Saturday

      Leblanc cleared unconditional waivers Saturday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports. Now that he has cleared waivers, Leblanc will report to AHL Bridgeport. The 24-year-old center registered 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) in 71 games with AHL Norfolk last season.

He could see the occasional game with the Islanders during the upcoming season, but he'll likely spend the majority of his time with their AHL affiliate.
