• Bolts Re-Sign AHL Forward Paradis

News: Philippe Paradis re-signed Wednesday with the Lightning on a one-year, two-way contract, NHL.com's Bryan Burns reports.
Analysis: For a fourth consecutive season, it looks as though Philippe Paradis will head back to AHL Syracuse, where he recorded a personal-best eight goals to go along with 15 points and 49 PIM in 34 games in 2014-15. The Bolts are perhaps deeper at forward than any team in the league, so it may take a slew of injuries before Paradis makes his NHL debut.
  • Bolts Tender Qualifying Offer To Paradis

News: Philippe Paradis has been tendered a qualifying offer by the Lightning.
Analysis: It just means the team retains his rights while the two sides continue to negotiate. It looks like a new contract is the future for this depth player.
  • Bolts Re-Up AHLer Paradis

News: The Lightning have re-signed Philippe Paradis to a one-year deal, reports TSN.ca. Terms were not released.
Analysis: He had six goals and 15 points in 56 AHL games last season and is expected to provide complementary scoring depth at that level in 2014-15.
  • Bolts Acquire Paradis In Trade

News: Philippe Paradis was traded to the Lightning on Wednesday for NCAA prospect Kirill Gotovets.
Analysis: This first-round pick (Carolina, 2009) has struggled to find his game in the AHL and has bounced through the Toronto and Chicago systems. He hasn't put up much offense this season -- he has a goal and seven assists in 41 games in the AHL and ECHL -- but he has put up 109 PIMs. He'll continue to toil in the minors as a depth player.
