Senators' David Dziurzynski: Placed on IR

Dziurzynski (undisclosed) is now on injured reserve, per the NHL's official media site. Dziurzynski skated for just 3:21 in Thursday's game against the Oilers before colliding with Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse and ultimately sustaining an injury. A physical forward in his first NHL season, Dziurzynski has four points in 14 games this season and when healthy, brings size to the lineup at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds. However, the Senators have since called up forward Nick Paul from AHL Binghamton and he has a similar stature as Dziurzynski, so Senators' opponents could still be faced with an imposing presence on the lower lines in Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs.

Senators' David Dziurzynski: Suffers injury, out Saturday

Dziurzynski (undisclosed) suffered an injury Thursday against Edmonton, and it will keep him out of Saturday's contest with Toronto, Steve Lloyd of TSN reports. Dziurzynski suffered the injury in what looked like a harmless collision with Oilers' defenseman Darnell Nurse, and left the game after playing 3:21. Expect Ottawa to recall a forward from the minors, as they only have 10 healthy forwards on their roster ahead of Saturday's game.

Senators' David Dziurzynski: Scores first of season

Dziurzynski scored a goal in his return to NHL action Tuesday, but it wasn't enough in a 6-5 loss to Pittsburgh. Always among the NHL leaders in valuable Scrabble letters, Dziurzynski had managed just three lonely assists in 12 games with the Sens entering Tuesday's action. The 26-year-old scored a big goal that drew Ottawa within one late in this game, but that was as close as they'd get. Judging by his mediocre track record in the minors, we won't be seeing too many encores to this performance.

Senators' David Dziurzynski: Recalled by Senators

Dziurzynski was recalled from AHL Binghamton on Monday. Dziurzynski's last stint with the Senators ended when Milan Michalek returned from a finger injury, but another finger injury for Michalek and an ankle injury for Kyle Turris have resulted in his recall once again. He could be set to draw into the lineup Tuesday, but possesses little fantasy upside as a bottom-six forward that could be sent back to the AHL in short order.

Senators' David Dziurzynski: Clears waivers, headed for AHL

Dziurzynski has cleared waivers, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie. He has also been reassigned to AHL Binghamton. Dziurzynski is no longer needed by the parent club since the Senators are set to welcome back Milan Michalek (finger) Thursday. Dziurzynski has produced three assists in 12 games in the NHL this season, and will look to build upon his 11 points in 20 games with AHL Binghamton.

Senators' David Dziurzynski: Placed on waivers

Dziurzynski was placed on waivers Wednesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. The move is likely for the purpose of sending Dziurzynski down to Binghamton of the AHL. The 26-year old has filled a fourth-line role and recorded three points in 12 games with the Sens this season, but Milan Michalek's return from a finger injury probably marks the end of Dziurzynski's stint in the NHL.

Senators' David Dziurzynski: Recalled from AHL Binghamton on Saturday

Dziurzynski was recalled from AHL Binghamton on Saturday. Dziurzynski has been toiling in the minors since signing a two-year, two-way contract in the 2014 offseason. During that time in the AHL, he's had 17 goals and 22 assists in 107 games. He'll fill a deep depth role with the parent club.
