News: Matt Frattin cleared waivers Thursday and will be assigned to AHL Toronto, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.
Analysis: As a 26-year-old winger with little more than fourth-line upside, Matt Frattin didn't warrant much interest over waivers. He only played six games for the Leafs prior to his removal from the 23-man roster.

Analysis: Matt Frattin, who headed to Los Angeles this past offseason in a deal with the Leafs, had been limited to just six points in 40 games for the Kings. It's not hard to imagine him seeing more playing time with the Blue Jackets, however, after seeing an average of 11:58 worth of ice time with the Kings.
    • Frattin Seeing Inconsistent Ice Time For Kings

News: Matt Frattin has played less than 10 minutes in three of his last four games for the Kings.
Analysis: Matt Frattin has fluctuated between a fourth-liner and healthy scratch for the Kings for much of the season, making his ice time rather variable from game-to-game. Even on nights he receives ample time, he's not expected to offer much utility as a scorer. Since his two-point outburst in a win over the Bolts on Nov. 19, Frattin has failed to provide a single point, despite dressing for 19 games.
