    • Rangers' Klingberg Bolts For Russia

News: Carl Klingberg announced on Twitter that he will play for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the KHL during the coming season.
Analysis: After finding himself far down the Rangers' organizational depth chart on the wing, Carl Klingberg elected to take his talents to Europe rather than spending another season at the AHL level. Since Klingberg was ticketed for restricted rather than unrestricted free agency, he'll remain the property of the Rangers should he decide to return to the NHL at some point. Klingberg was acquired by New York during the trade deadline as part of the deal that sent Lee Stempniak to Winnipeg.
    • Rangers Assign Klingberg To AHL Hartford

News: Carl Klingberg was assigned to AHL Hartford on Monday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: The Rangers received Carl Klingberg back from the Jets as part of the Lee Stempniak trade on Sunday, but there wasn't an open spot on the 23-man roster for him. The 24-year-old has provided some strong scoring totals at the AHL level the last four seasons, but will likely be forced to occupy a bottom-six role should he receive an opportunity with the Rangers later in the season.
    • Klingberg Traded To Rangers

News: The Rangers traded Lee Stempniak to the Jets on Sunday in exchange Carl Klingberg.
Analysis: Carl Klingberg has spent the bulk of the season with AHL St. John's, though he did suit up for two games with the Jets this season. He'll provide the Rangers with some added forward depth, but his immediate role with his new organization has yet to be clarified.
    • Jets' Klingberg Reassigned To AHL

News: Carl Klingberg was reassigned to AHL St. John on Sunday.
Analysis: Carl Klingberg was demoted in order to make room for Blake Wheeler (knee) off the injured reserve list. With just two games spent on the ice with Winnipeg, Klingberg is a candidate to receive a call-up in the future, although he won't likely see significant time on the ice if that happens.
    • Jets Recall Klingberg

News: Carl Klingberg was recalled from AHL St. John's on Wednesday, Ed Tait of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.
Analysis: After failing to claim a roster spot out of training camp, Carl Klingberg has remained in the AHL all season, where he's collected 15 goals and 15 assists in 51 games. There's a chance Klingberg could play in Thursday's game against the Capitals, as both Mathieu Perreault (lower body) and Drew Stafford (upper body) are dealing with injuries that will force at least one to IR. Rather than inserting Klingberg into the lineup, coach Paul Maurice could instead opt to move Dustin Byfuglien over from defense to fill the void on the wing.
    • Jets Reassign Klingberg

News: Carl Klingberg was reassigned to AHL St. John's on Wednesday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Carl Klingberg has appeared in 10 games with the Jets across the last three seasons, but it doesn't appear as though he's on the cusp on earning a permanent stay with the parent club. He may need an assortment of injuries to get an extended chance in Winnipeg, and might be an intriguing option if that ever ends up materializing. Klingberg has proven himself as a capable scorer at St. John's, amassing a career-high 22 goals in 65 contests last season.
    • Jets Sign Klingberg To One-Year Contract

News: Carl Klingberg inked a one-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 with the Jets on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis: Carl Klingberg spent the 2013-14 season largely at the AHL level, playing just three games with the Jets. He scored 22 goals and assisted on another 20 with AHL St. John's over 65 games last season. Klingberg will likely land in a similar role this season, but will try to impress in training camp and snag a roster spot.
    • Jets' Klingberg Sent To AHL

News: Carl Klingberg was returned to AHL St. John's on Saturday, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.
Analysis: Carl Klingberg scored his first NHL goal in Friday's win over the Flames to put the perfect closing touch on a season that saw him score 38 points in 62 AHL games. He's already 23 and has just 10 NHL appearances to his name, but there's a chance he'll get to compete for a roster spot in training camp next season.
    • Jets' Klingberg Gets First Career Goal

News: Carl Klingberg scored his first NHL goal in Friday's win over the Flames.
Analysis: Carl Klingberg's wraparound goal gave the Jets a temporary two-score lead that would ultimately hold up. The 23-year-old figures to be in the mix for a depth role with the Jets during the 2014-15 campaign.
    • Jets Recall Klingberg

News: The Jets have recalled Carl Klingberg from AHL St. John's.
Analysis: Carl Klingberg, who has recorded 38 points in 62 AHL games to date, last saw NHL action in 2011-12, when he played six games for the Jets without recording a point. He'll provide the team with added depth up front down the stretch.
