Sabres' Daniel Catenacci: Called up from minors
Catenacci has been recalled from AHL Rochester. Catenacci was Buffalo's third-round (77th overall) draft selection in 2011. While he has yet to debut in the NHL, an appearance with the parent club could be imminent since Sabres forwards Tyler Ennis (upper body), Marcus Foligno (lower body) and Cody McCormick (blood clots) are all currently injured. Catenacci is known for his quickness and on-ice vision. He tore it up offensively in the OHL between 2008-13, notching 108 goals and 145 assists between the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Owen Sound Attack. Since then, he's had some trouble against tougher competition in the AHL -- Prior to his call-up, Catenacci registered seven goals and nine helpers, but also went minus-13 in 36 games for the Americans.
