Huberdeau's bridge deal will pay him $2.5 million this season and $4 million in 2016-17. The former Calder Trophy winner is slated to skate on a top line that includes young upstart center Aleksander Barkov and NHL luminary Jaromir Jagr, which could lead to another step forward offensively in his fourth season with the Panthers.
