Lightning's Vladislav Namestnikov: Second goal in as many games

Namestnikov scored his second goal in as many games when he netted Tampa Bay's first goal in Saturday's win over Buffalo. It was an unassisted marker. He came in on a breakaway and beat Buffalo goalie Chad Johnson cleanly. His line with Brian Boyle and J.T. Brown seem to be the only consistent forwards on the Bolts right now.

Lightning's Vladislav Namestnikov: Nets first goal of the season

Namestnikov scored his first goal of the season in Thursday's loss to the Stars. He has two points in his last three games. He's not seeing much ice time -- he was only on the ice Thursday for 8:50 -- but he made the most of it. Interestingly enough, he was fed by stud Steven Stamkos. Namestnikov won't get consistent time with Stammer, but it's clear he can play with the best.

It hasn't been unfamiliar territory for the 22-year-old, who remains caught up in a numbers game rather than being banished there for poor performance.
