• Sens' Prince Aiming To Secure Fourth-Line Role

News: Shane Prince will battle with Matt Puempel for a spot on the Senators' fourth line during training camp, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.
Analysis: Shane Prince was the more prolific scorer of the duo last season at AHL Binghamton, potting 28 goals and 65 points over 72 games while also tallying an assist in one of his two contests with the Senators. With little left to prove in the minors, Prince is banking on his offensive prowess being the determining factor in him getting the nod over Puempel, who actually saw more action (13 games) with the Senators last season. In any event, neither Prince nor Puempel would likely see a high minutes load this season, taking both players off the fantasy radar until a top-six opportunity presents itself.

News: Shane Prince signed a one-year, two-way contact with the Senators on Wednesday.

He suited up for two games with the Senators last season, registering a single point in those contests. He was excellent with Binghamton, however, racking up a total of 65 points in 72 games with the team.
